Possible. I think Fast still goes. But Strome, Buch, etc. could theoretically wait.

Having said that, I do wonder how Gorton would feel about heading into the summer with other teams knowing he has to move bodies - be it Buch, Strome, buyout Lundqvist, etc.

Thus far, Gorton has tried to avoid scenarios, or at least the perception that he “has” to make a move.

Which in turn moves their trade value down tremendously. Again would be dumb asset management. Gorton and jd are smarter than that... I hope lol

The Rangers “ask” for number #20 seems to be the only info we’re going to get. It’s tough to read between the lines on this one but when Bobfather says he more likely to be traded then not you have to believe the guy. He’s really “the” best source for info. It’s going to suck that he is retiring.

I’m still on the side of the fence that wants to keep him, and resign him.

I’m not convinced anybody would give that much for a rental. Also I want to keep Kreider

Nobody needs to panic. No one is being “shopped” per se.

But if you’re looking for out of left field guys that aren’t inherently untouchable, there are some names.

Lemme put it like this, in a post-Kreider world where the Rangers also traded Buch for a LD, the concept of moving Skjei and Kravtsov as part of a package for someone like Nylander isn’t an unheard of concept.

Yeah, it’s unlikely right now because of the number of moving parts. But it’s not a file for the “never gonna happen” draw either.

Again, not something is months in the making, but not quite as unheard of as one might think.

I have to really tread carefully when I’m asked these questions, because the probability of hysteria goes up considerably. Next thing I know, my words are being misconstrued and I am chasing down quotes I never gave.
