Well obviously he is gonna to interested teams just in case.If he is unavailable how can the other teams know what their demands are?

Its crazy to think that had Hugh panned out, he'd STILL be retired by now...Well that pick was utterly humiliating.

Dude you saw what happened to @Machinehead right?not going to happen. I'll eat my own shit and livestream it to you guys if we get Newhook.
Kreider isn't getting a 1st, top prospect, and an impactful roster player unless Gorton allows a team to negotiate an extension with him.
1st and a B prospect. A throw-in roster player if the team needs cap relief. The Toffoli deal set the market.
That’s cus they still think they’re a playoff team.Read into this what you want...
As of this morning, the Rangers have not made Kreider available but they have exchanged names with at least one team.
Which means they’re really trying to sign him.Listening to Dave Pagnotta. Says Avs and Bruins still heavy on CK (especially the former). The Avs have him first on their desired list.
Even said the islanders are still lurking potentially since its a fact they are interested in Kreider.
Gorton has not allowed anyone to talk to Kreider’s agent
Let's say that is the game plan. At what point do they say the deals aren't sufficient and we will re-sign? It has to be a day before the deadline. We can't let him go past the deadline and surrender that much leverage. The other way to look at this, and I've had someone else at another site say this is that, the Rangers are only moving Kreider IF they get a king's ransom.

So youre saying theres a sliver of a hope that he still makes it?Not necessarily - 12 of the 30 guys picked in that 1st round are still playing in the NHL. A few others are still active overseas. A remarkable draft year.
I could certainly see them angling for that, but I'm not sure they can get it for a rental. Plus teams know they're staring down a pretty tight cap situation if they elect to keep him. Though who knows what other moves are in play right now.
As a millennial this is probably the closest I’ll ever get to a real retirement. That first ignore after retiring was probably the most satisfying moment on this board for me.
I think Gorton has a lot more options than people think.
Maybe so but why camp there when there’s so much more for you to explore. That first ignore after retiring was probably the most satisfying moment on this board for me.
Next year does seem to be the bottleneck.I’m still a little unclear on how Lundqvist and the measly one year left on his deal has literally any effect on Kreiders 6-7 year deal
