Based on what BBK said about heating up, could that be a hint towards the flames and Tkachuk. Maybe thats the 50/50 deal Edge references. Probably Kreids/Buch and other pieces.

You guys read into this stuff more and make up more metaphors for these trades than a high school English teacher

Tkachuk was not a deal that was brought to my attention based on today’s continued conversations.

Rangers like him, but aren’t trading a mint for him right now and Calgary sure as heck isn’t even thinking about moving him.

Yeah I'm thinking its probably Kreider Buch and something small for Tkachuk.

why in the world would Calgary trade Tkachuk? They would sooner dump Monahan and Lindholm and Brodie and Giordano and pretty much anyone besides Johnny. Tkachuk is one of the best young players in the league.

I like Tkachuk, but he’s going to cost us major assets (probably young ones) that I’m probably not willing to give up. And I’m not bananas about paying an RFA 9+ mil unless he’s a 90+ point guy.

If it's for krieder, buch, and hajek/lindgren plus a 2nd I'd be willing to pay that for a 21yo 70pt player who who believe will only get better and can be a 90pt player. Plus tkachuk can do it all and matches the exact identity that the rangers want to be. But again it's all speculation

That’s a huge return for the Flames, especially if Buch becomes a 55-65 point player. But my main concern is that we don’t have as much cap space as it seems, and I don’t want 18+ mil tied up in Trouba and Tkachuk. They are both great players, but should we really be spending that much money on those guys?

Kreider and Mcdavid, at least Mcdavid would have someone to keep up with him speedwise. We get 8 overall and get our future Center, which I would guess Zegras in that scenario.

I replied about a move CGY would like to make, and a player from the Rangers fills that role.

CGY is a contender, but they're frustrated with components of their roster, and need an upgrade. A Ranger player fits their situation.

Even after making a big move for a defenseman I'd put Hanifin in our range before I'd put their superstar forwards. Idk they're kind of a weird trade partner

I think trouba gets 7.5m and tkachuk I think would be worth 9m price tag. Ut the tkachuk idea for myself has been put to bed.

Interesting but besides their big forwards or hanifin I'm not interested in anyone else. Their 1st is basically a 2nd rounder but I know nothing of their prospects though. Maybe their 1st and a top prospect for krieder

I literally don’t see a single part of their team that the rangers could “upgrade” without it being a mediocre return for the Rangers. Assuming we’re talking about a roster player trade
