Somehow I missed whatever it is that upset people so much yesterday but there's no good reason to continue dwelling over it. It's a big two days coming up--who knows, something could happen today. We've been waiting though since April 9 for either Kakko or Hughes, we've had the Fox and the Trouba deals, all kinds of speculation about players and free agency--now that it's finally almost here it's not a wonder to me that people are a bit jumpy on things. Give each other a break.

I'm taking a wild guess and going to say it has something to do with the Avs. Kreider and AHLer for Jost, 16thOA, and Soderberg as a cap dump. Why? Jost has been on the Rangers radar and is the "calculated risk", and Soderberg is a cap dump on a short term deal. Rangers also get back in a second first and can draft Newhook, Krebs, Seider, etc. basically the guy who falls because of Knight. Seider is probably the riser and already gone. I really don't see them trading one of the recent first rounders they've drafted. Maybe Anderson but definitely not the other ones.

If this is a mega deal I can maybe see Buch going and Kerfoot or Compher coming with some picks the other way. Rangers get a decent #2 center who slots behind Ziba and is a little more proven than Howden and the young guys.

That is literally words with no information to cover all bases so that no matter what happens, you can say you called it.

"The first person you meet tomorrow may or may not be a woman, probably in the morning but could be later in the day, can't tell you his or her name, nor if s/he will be walking alone or with friends, and it will be someone who takes risks, but only if they dont expose him/her to too much danger."

At least vet the rumor with the mods so they can confirm you have something and that you predicted what will actually happen after it happens. This way it isn't online, but we know you're not throwing the widest possible net hoping the Rangers pull a trade during a trade-heavy time of the year, while also piggybacking on BBKers info, so you can later claim you called it. Otherwise, I don't believe this is real.

It’s really sad seeing all the legit ass prying going on. I know some are joking but some are bugging the **** out. Even from vetted insiders, these things need to be taken with a grain of salt for numerous reasons that are outside of the messenger’s control. Which is why these nuggets of info are worded as carefully as they are. It’s very, very easy to share legitimate information and have a trade fall through, making one seem “unreliable” when in actuality everything that had been shared was accurate, despite the final result not occurring.

We’re lucky to have people who are open enough with us as posters to share legitimate information from an inside perspective. I’d hate to lose it because some people can’t be ****ing adults about it.

Without the occasional nuggets of inside info we are given privy to, this site in its entirety is nothing but an echo chamber, or source for affirmation of one's beliefs. It's predominately redundant in nature.

Outside of getting up to date info during the busy periods and my own occasional rants, posters like Edge, BBK, Bobbop, AK, and Rangerboy are what keep me coming back. After the original MSG Site boards went down, I came here and have built trust in a few fellow members postings.

I'd hate to loose that.

Not sure where you have been, but its THE reason he signed in NY to begin with.

Close enough to home without playing for the Bruins who are brutal to hometown kids that dont perform better than expected.

Doesn't diminish the player even in the slightest.

If you want to live close to your family, and value that, that doesn't make you a "mommas boy". Nothing wrong with wanting your parents to be a part of your children's, or future children's, and your lives.

I never believed the Rangers "liked" DeAngelo and I'm not sure they have any patience for Buch.

Those two along with Lias would be my guess as outgoing.

This sounds way off base in my opinion, the rangers wouldn’t have traded for ADA if they didn’t like what he brought to the table on the ice. I don’t understand what you mean by patience for buch? He was able to produce when given the opportunity and lias isn’t going anywhere

When a vetted poster shares his info, you don’t question the source because of that posters long history and reputation.

If you honestly believe Edge has nothing better to do than blow smoke up our ass, then I don’t what to tell you man...

There have been vetted posters previously who were demonstrated without question to be doing that exact thing.

@Luger is right. The whole scenario reads just like the oracle of Delphi. Legit rumors don’t happen very often. It wouldn’t be too much trouble to vet them individually.

Unless i read a post wrong last night i think a lot of people are looking at this wrong. I believe @Edge said that WE were giving up the better player now for multiple assets and i assume the calculated risk is that those assets will become more valuable than the player we trade.

I recall someone asking edge of we were sending multiple assets for one better asset and he said it was the other way around.

IF I'm interpreting that right it screams zibs or kreider...

He also made reference to a team wanting one of our rfas, so assume that to be buch.

I love JG's comment about having cap space allows for additional conversations.

@Edge @bobbop and @BBKers are all vetted and have sources and are in the know. Now they could keep the info to themselves but are nice enough to share it with us. Im assuming that these sources are different then a reporter-team source where the team wants the reporter to leak certain info. These sources are friends and based on the story edge told on the podcast former coworker and if certain info is leaked A) the source could be burned, and B) whatever the trade is could fall apart.

So they drop hints and little nuggets to let us know that something is brewing. And this being a message we all speculate which is the fun of it.

Stop ripping on these guys and just be glad they are kind enough to give us what ever info they CAN not HAVE big difference.

The problem is that just giving vague information or "hints and little nuggets" isn't better than no information at all.

We all know Gorton and the team are working the phones and whatnot on the daily and things could happen. We don't need a insiderrrr to tell us that.

I appreciate that these folks have connections, but if they can't say more than something vague because their source(s) would otherwise drop the connection, then it's really not worth posting, because the majority of the time, it's working the entire board up for nothing/no payday. A heck of a lot more misses than hits because "Gorton is on the phone for the last half hour in his room" or "working on a minor deal."

A least Dagoon would drop names (back before he moved and lost connections)
