Considering the rumours that Toronto has been taking a lot of calls today, and putting 2 + 2 together, I'd imagine there is something around taking on Marleau's contract and buying him out for a nice price (He has a big signing bonus bomb that goes off on July 1st). Would be happy to get any of Nylander, Kapanen, or their 2020 1st depending on the price

The option we've discussed, involving Kreider, is still in play. Then there's the other one, which we'll discuss one way or the other in a few days.

The third possibility is smaller, but could exist on its own, or be a part of the second option.

The bigger option has two teams with two different deals, but a shared component. That's why there's a sensitivity. Also possible to strike a substantially smaller deals with either or both clubs.

The other deal is separate, doesn't involve the same components, but likely goes off the table if they can make the bigger deal come to fruition.

No reason to get upset with @Edge . He has the connections and gives us insight into things being done behind closed doors. Saying something can make the trades not hallen and he is telling us what he can right now. @Edge @BBKers and a few others are our insiders

It’s something, @Edge isn’t being secretive or doing it for internet points. People who have been around here long enough know he’s a reputable poster. Some people over react to the info or get too excited, but a lot of us just like speculating on the info.

He obviously can’t over share because the reaction if he’s wrong which happens a lot because the situations are volatile would be negative, and he wants to protect himself as I’m sure the people giving him the information don’t want it spread around the internet.

Are they in the direction of helping the rangers compete now or building up our core players?
