I agree! And we've all seen players in all sports that were malcontent and wanted out even on good teams. Many ended up performing well on their new teams and never caused any drama: Patrick Roy, Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, etc

The reason to be concerned about Eichel is his injury PERIOD.. nothing else to really be concerned about. He checks almost every other box (besides physical)

Not sure if this is in defense of Eichel or not but to me there is soooo much to steer anyone away from him, but how he's handled himself through all of this is rubbish. I'm not saying Buffalo hasn't been poorly run, but Eichel certainly hasn't been the franchise player he is being paid to. I don't remember all these years Florida sucked Barkov giving up, being a distraction, or anything less than a standout example. Stay away from fire and you won't get burned is how I feel about Jack.

I agree with you, we don't need to get into Eichel's head to find red flags. We have objective reasons to not make the trade which you outlined.
