Here’s a better idea: let’s stop discussing wasting any asset on terrible players like Deslauriers and MacDermid? Both are among the worst players respective to their position, and literally add nothing here.

The Marek thing is disgustingly overblown, and he always throws random asides out there as bait for Friedman. I know BBKers has been mentioning MacDermid for a while, but let’s hope that idea died in the past with Gorton and JD.

The biggest issue last year was not a lack of grit. It was a lack of 5v5 systems that focused on aggressive, up-tempo hockey that wears your opponents down. I guess it’s a good thing that our new HC specializes in that style and has now drawn blood from a stone with two completely different roster make ups.

I genuinely don’t understand why there’s an obsession on here to suggest bringing in terrible players.

Gallant should help that, right? Quinn has skills but was in over his head, clearly. Defering to Panarin, the awful D 2 years ago. Isn’t it amazing Martin fixed that in one season?
