This thread is like Groundhog Day. What most likely happens is no deal and Drury picks Lambos, Behrens, or Chayka because they're LDH and we hear Rangers buzz words like "character" "two way" etc.

That's definitely a trade Glen Sather would make; he's still bugging James Dolan's ear. If that trade is made, the Rangers are bleeped. He's a 4th line goon; you'd give up nothing more than a late round pick. How many 7th rd picks do they have left after the Goodrow trade?

or you can simply state it as would you trade Buch for a 50/50 shot Suzuki or a bust but you won't know which way it'll turn out for 3 years.

Sather will have just enough cap space for 11 herbs and spices, rest of the team will be made up of potatoes.

Not for nothing but if you listen to that segment of the Friedman/Marek pod talking about Deslauriers, Friedman specifically says that he messed up a Deslauriers trade at the deadline and that he heard Deslauriers was weird reacting about it or something and then he speculates if someone might trade a 1st for him.

So he says that he got something wrong in the past about Deslauriers, Deslauries was hurt by it or something to that effect, and then Friedman publicly says player could be worth more than anyone would think.

Reading between the lines, it seems like Friedman may be trying to get some goodwill with Deslauriers and his agents (prob more importantly there) by pumping his tires publicly after saying he did wrong by him in the past and he felt bad about it.

It was Marek who speculated about a 1st.

I don't know why this is still being talked about.

It's not a legitimate rumor, it was Marek just trying to make a case for a team to trade for DeLorean. I know thats not his name, but I refuse to write it out after reading it 69 billion times over the last 3 pages.

If they had actual intel that the Rangers had interest, they would have mentioned it. Thats literally what they get paid to do.

I think the whole Deslauriers thing is much ado about nothing.

There wasn’t even an ACTUAL rumor linking the NYR to him. Entire NYR mention was the audio version of clickbait.

No reason to freak out about anything...if it somehow goes down we can all burn the servers to the ground then.

Yes, this is the same Jeff Marek that likes to play word association and spit random words out of his mouth like "Arizona, Kessel, Boston, can you imagine?"
