This can't possibly be the deal. Because if it was true, why wouldn't the Rangers do this? Buch is a great winger for us. But Horvat is captain material and a center and exactly the kind of player our top 9 needs. If we lose out on point production so be it. Horvat is skilled heart and soul.

We bought the house back in May, but the seller wanted a longer window so we only closed Monday. Moved Thursday, living in what a feels like a warehouse since.

I think they've offered him a few "learning roles" but he wants to jump in w/o doing the work.

I kind of think Messier would be pretty good as a coach right away. Not for the Rangers, though. Maybe for a more veteran team. Probably would have worked ok with the Wild last season before Parise and Suter got cut.
But that’s basically because I believe a head coach in the NHL is primarily a mood maker and component of the leadership core.

On the professional side, you have shit-stirrer Larry Brooks, a schmuck in Carpy and apathetic non-insiders like Vince Merc and Colin Stephenson, and on the blogging side you have attention-whores who will report bullshit stuff for attention like David Shapiro, Greg Kaplan, Adam Herman, Joe Fortunato and the Forever Blueshirts guy.

There are very, very few quality writers anywhere. There's very little quality journalism in general, not just in sports.

It's just the reality of the world where all media is profit-driven and stirring shit gets the most attention.
