I don't see the issue. The article states that the "conditional release" is basically "He's still confined to the mental health facility and remains under supervision, but he's allowed some time outside of the hospital to receive additional treatment."

Which seems fair enough if he's "demonstrated long-term stability, remained engaged in all recommended treatments and consistently followed his care."
The issue is that the media misleads you intentionally - and also no one is actually going to read the story.

The issue isn't with the media. It's with the people. The fact that so many people take things at face value and don't do a modicum of research, even when things seem sensationalist or just blatantly false, it's baffling.

I do feel bad for the guy. Very successful guy, serious mental health issues. Apparently decided to stop taking his meds for said mental health issues after his mom died in a cosmetic surgery complication, one that he encouraged her to get. And you can clearly see when he's on and off his meds in his behavior.
