That’s going to be the real interesting thing. He’s primarily been used as a LW. If they plan to deploy him on the left, it will likely be on 4th line

Is Barron a C? Is he a 3rd or 4th line guy? Does Richards come up and play 4th line? He looked good in his cup of coffee. Rooney staying?

Drury still has at least 2 more irons in the fire imo.

Seems like a puzzle could be piecing together.....if Kracken take Tarasenko and rangers have a trade in place to get whatever center they covet weather it's Eichel or whomever. Obviously Kravy goes in Eichel deal or Buch in another center deal mix and match but you get the gist. Now deal with the Kracken giving one of the two wingers that are left for Tarasenko and maybe the damn we covet. Tarasenko being breadys buddy. So many scenarios.

Btw just an opinion question but as annoying troubled entitled as he is if the rangers toughed up the bottom 6 etc. Would anyone find a line exciting of Bread Kusnetsov and Tarasenko????

Yes. We just signed Gauthier yesterday.

Goodrow is is officially a New York Ranger until his UFA status kicks in.

Yea he plays all 3.
But mainly they were deployed as
Goodrow-Gourde-Coleman
Goodrow on left side.
I can’t see them playing him 3 mill a year to be a primarily 4th liner. I think he’ll spend some time there, he’s never got more then 30 pts I believe so he’s not some offensive beast. I’m really interested to see how/where gallant sees him in our line up going fwd

Can anyone explain how the rangers would choose to protect Rooney or Blackwell of Gauthier? I mean at best even through potential and being a first rounder with size etc everyone thinks they can change everyone he would have more value in a trade package alone.

I don't think the Kracken would be to keen on picking Blackwell or Rooney.

Lastly I may be to high on Gauthier but I can see him improving and playing like a Tuch with possibly better scoring touch but less sandpaper. Maybe they can get that out of him but potential exists.....the other two I like but come one.

Always weird because sometimes I think something is well known and people are surprised by it. I’ll use Buch as an example - him being a trade possibility shouldn’t really be a surprise, and yet it is for some fans.

This can't possibly be the deal. Because if it was true, why wouldn't the Rangers do this? Buch is a great winger for us. But Horvat is captain material and a center and exactly the kind of player our top 9 needs. If we lose out on point production so be it. Horvat is skilled heart and soul.
