Panarin has a full nmc. He’s not waiving it unless it’s the absolute perfect scenario, and almost no team that is a “perfect “ scenario can afford that contract without us taking back shit.
As he stated it would be for a middle 6 guy making money, a bad contract with like 2 years remaining, a solid prospect and prob a 1st.

it can be Florida. Reinhardt, a 1st, a b prospect and a bad contract

We're taking back at least one significant piece of crap regardless of how perfect the scenario is for him. No team is giving up nothing but premium pieces to take on his contract. The second you see his name pop up in a tweet saying he's been dealt, brace yourself for at least $5M of crap coming back.

Drury's about to hand pick a new coach. One that is very likely will have a mandate to play the kids and stop catering to Panarin the way Gallant did. Panarin's camp isn't dumb. They'll know that if a deal comes in that moves him somewhere they should consider it when weighed against the prospect of Panarin being relegated to a lesser role with a fan base calling for his head.

Panarins making his money. He’s got no reason to move for any reason.
“Oh no, I’m playing on the third line.”
Like seriously that’s the threat?
He’s not getting another huge ufa deal where he needs his ice time.

So the guy who complained to the coach about his line mates for the duration of his time here is suddenly going to just be totally chill playing with whomever and getting reduced minutes because he remembered he makes a lot of money? Makes total sense.

I don’t think Panarin is going to waive unless Drury literally calls him and tells him how much he doesn’t want him on the team. In reality we have two players we could move in Goodrow and Lindgren. I am not a fan of moving Lindgren at his cap hit at all. Goodrow I can almost guarantee is getting traded even if it costs assets to move him. We just can’t sacrifice losing our young core players because of older vets. If for some reason Panarin did waive I’m not looking to take another terrible contract back. I would consider marner because of his age, but Toronto would be dumb to do that. If he waived and we could free up a ton of cap space to just add depth around the lineup I would be pumped. I would even try to keep Goodrow.
All they had to do was plant him on the 4th line and take him off the pp in playoffs and he would have gladly left.

Panarin in some sort of deal to Ottawa for Debrincat makes sense. But they had to make him sour before now.

Panarin moving to ottawa is the biggest joke ever. Name exactly 1 player who's waived his FULL NMC to go to a non stanley cup contender?
And yeah the senators can be good, but they're not a top 3 contender.

Senators future is bright, tell me why Panarin wouldnt wanna play with Tkachuk, Batherson, Stutzle, Giroux, Chabot, Sanderson, Pinto and the great Julien Gauthier(lol).

Panarin isn’t waiving his NMC. Get past it
I agree he isn't now....they would have had to come down on him in playoffs in order for that to happen.

I’m sure I’m in the minority here but we should trade Miller, he regressed this year and will be too expensive and makes too many mental errors.
Get a boring stay at home guy.

Build a shutdown line and play matchups like grownup coaches do.
Nah. He needs to be encouraged to skate the puck out of the D zone more, if you ask me. And Jones needs to be a lineup staple. Need the defensemen lugging the puck more.

Again I'll repeat myself. Name a player who waived his NMC from a playoff team, to a non playoff team because they got less minutes.
Name.
A.
SINGLE.
PLAYER.

I legit don't get this board. Sometimes it's full of really insightful commentary,

Players want more ice time because they want to produce more. They want to produce more to get bigger contracts or they believe that they're going to produce more wins that way.
Panarin has his bag. No one believes playing Panarin another 2 minutes a game is going to produce more wins.

The amount of tax increase from NYC to Canada is drastic.
Ottawa isn't NYC.
Panarin took less money to come to NYC, he's not moving to Ottawa.
If he's moving its to either, Dallas (surprisingly decent russian population/zero income tax and a playoff team), Florida (they have no space for him), Maybe LA(they don't really have the cap, but they could probably acquire him), and Maybe Seattle.

We'd probably have to move Panarin, Trouba and Chytil.
To who? I don't think the Leafs could barely fit in anything more than Panarin. Aren't they in cap hell as well? I mean unless they find a way to get rid of Murray?

Not really difficult to get rid of Murray. They can just buy him out and he'd have a cap hit of 700k this year.

True. They should definitely try to get rid of him. He makes too much money and is always getting hurt.
If they can't trade him and buy him out it's only 700k this year but 2 million the following when they need to re-sign Nylander and Matthews. Who knows how much the cap is gonna go up?

Rather deal Panarin for nothing than more chokers. Rangers need to change the culture back to hard workers. The Dubinsky Callahan Brian Boyle Dom Moore type of players mixed with the elite skill Rangers have with Mika Fox etc. Cant wait for Cuylle Othmann Sykora hopefully to be that types for the Rangers in the future.
Not disagreeing with you there. But I doubt we can get non chokers for Panarin. If we could somehow trade Panarin for a contract that expires a year earlier than would be a win.

You know what I’d move Panarin to right wing too. He’s no longer the GUY here. He can’t be he blew that chance. He’s a complimentary player now for us. It’s more important that lafreniere play where he neeeds to play.

And you know what. I’d tell him exactly that if I’m drury. Panarin is a failure. The regular season stat padding means f*** all to me now.

Celebrity gif. We zoom in on Jack Nicholson slowly nodding his head with a creepy grin.

the only RW i'd be ok with seeing him on next year are the Redwings.

KAM is easily... and I mean EASILY, the 2nd best defenseman on the team. His highs are ridiculous. He struggled down the stretch but he's a big reason why we started winning games in the regular season.

He's 23. He's a stud. He needs to be a Ranger.
K'Andre Miller is still young and hasn't played defence for that long. Even life long dman take longer to get to their full potential; he's still learning the position. People need patience. Was he great this past season, no, but the upside is still there. Get him with a coach who knows how to coach/teach defencemen and he'll be a star in this league in the not-too-distant future.

Been saying this all offseason. It will force him to be more north south coming out of the D-zone

Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek were discussing Matthews contract. Elliotte believes Matthews wants to sign a 4-5 year contract to stay with TO. Matthews is 26 years old. It would have to be a contract which makes him the highest paid player in the sport.

Elliotte Friedman. Choir boys don't win the Cup. You need to have a team full of pricks.
Louder for the online crowd that wants the sport to be teams full of figure skaters
