Roster Building Thread VI (2022-23): Offseason edition

Twitter is not work on my mac. It's not working on my iPhone but i have a list of hockey insider accounts and that is working.

Frank reported Quick to the Rangers for less than $1M. He is having a live YouTube stream.

Why wouldn't they be committed to him? On what planet do you abandon a 1 overall pick before he has a coach willing to give him the opportunities that every other team in the league gives their 1 overall picks.

Give him top line all season, don't bury him the minute he makes a mistake. Let him work out his mistakes and learn and gain confidence. Give him top PP all season. Let him bury goals on the PP and set up his teammates with the man advantage. Let him grow his offensive confidence. Do that all season he will get close to 30 goals and 70 points, he has that kind of ability. If he didn't he wouldn't have been the highest consensus number 1 overall since McDavid before Bedard a couple days ago.

Give the kids the responsibilities. Let them blossom. We don't need anymore Kanes on bad hips and Tarasenkos at the downside of their careers, or Blais who is not the best kept secret.

Enough is enough. Committ 100% to your 1 and 2 overall picks like every other normal NHL franchise does.

Absolutely. A lot of you guys have your pulse on the lesser known players in the league that have been brought up here that would be perfect fits for what we need. Goodrow's contract is stopping that, which is crazy because his contract isn't even that bad in a vacuum for a consistent 30+ point player.

If I were Karlsson I would go to Carolina. It's a nice place. Not quite the Pacific Coast, but, cost of living and everything else considered, you could do a lot worse. They're a contender too.
