Do the Rangers even have enough cap room to do anything other than re-sign Laf and KAM and sign a backup? Seems very tight which is frustrating because they could use a RW like Sprong who Seattle didn't qualify for some reason.

They would have like 3-4M after Miller (4?), Laf (2.3-5?), BUG (1M),

11.7 - 7.3

4M+

If they go with Laf or Kreider (he did better) on RW it helps a whole lot.

Panarin-Chytil-Laf
Goodrow-Tro - ?
Cuylle ? Vesey

Honestly might be the best they can go with this year putting the kids in the best position to succeed

LaF-Z-KK
Bread-Chytil-BO
Krieder -Tro- Vesey
WC- ???- Goodrow

Miller-Fox
Jones-Trouba
Lindgren -Schneider

I do agree that it is time to see what Miller can do with top Minutes. Trouba needs a puck carrier, and Lindgren would do wonder for Schneider.

Only way I add is if Duchene is willing to come here on the cheap. He would be very interesting on Panarins line.

Sign a 4c for roughly 1.5 mil aav

What did Goodrow show you last year that said he would be a good 3C?

He played in the top 6 a lot of the year so i figure thats a demotion lol. He's fine as a bottom 6 center as long as he has decent players with him. We needed right wings or a LD all year, could have spent some Trochek money on that instead. Would we be better this year with option 1 or 2?

Panarin Zibanejad Kakko
Lafreniere Chytil Tarasenko
Kreider Goodrow Berard
Vesey ???? Cullye

Kreider Zib Kakko
Panarin Trochek ???
Laf Chytil Berard
Vesey Goodrow Cullye

Id pick 1.

I haven't had any trouble with twitter today. Is it a geographical thing?
For whoever has it downIt’s been down for me in CT. I just set my vpn to out of the states and it’s working now.

What I missed was
OEL to panthers for 2.25
reeves to tor for 1.35 for 3 years.

Friedman on laf:

Never thought Laf would be traded in a cap crunch if doesn’t actually help anything lol

Have to find a way to move Goodrow. They probably won't, but his contract is stopping them from doing anything to improve their roster depth.

If they can't move him:

Lafreniere - Zibanejad - Kreider
Panarin - Chytil - Kakko
Othmann - Trocheck - Cyulle
Vesey - Goodrow - Pajuniemi

Miller - Fox
Jones - Trouba
Lindgren - Schneider

Get the kids playing. Cyulle, Pajuniemi, and Jones have all produced in the AHL. Isn't that the point, if they produce at the AHL level they be given a fair shot at the NHL roster.

Have to plug these kids in as cheap options and let them grow and contribute.

If there's cap space add a player like McLeod (preferred due to age) or Eller and make the 4th line:

Vesey - McLeod/Eller - Goodrow

Goodrow has a 15 team no trade list. See if you can work out a deal with one of the teams not on the list.
