If you've got a laptop, play a youtube video of his highlights here and make sure he can see it.

Try to dress it up a little too. A couple of sobs.
Good plan! I'll be crying regardless because I'm the world's worst flyer.

Question is, what was he doing in NY?

Elliotte Friedman mentioned NHLPA executive director Marty Walsh is meeting with player agents and he is making it very clear that it is very unlikely the cap will go up by more than $1M. Walsh had a meeting in NY yesterday. LA later this week and Toronto next week.

14:00 minute mark

Goodbye Goodrow for sure

If this is true, I expect your comment about some players getting squeezed again will be accurate

The only positive is that it stops Drury from getting to sign more long term contracts to UFA’s.

Trade Goodrow somehow, cheap backup goalie, and he’s about done.

No to Keefe.

Goodrow is good bye

Brooks mentions the Rangers will be looking for players who make the Rangers harder to play against.

I'd take Keefe, he isnt the issue in Toronto, he's got two softy Panarin players, a shitty back end and never has a goalie. I doubt he gets the axe imo.

I would rather have Keefe than Sutter, Quenneville or Laviolette. That's not saying much though, it's just that I can't think of any names. But rather a younger up and coming coach than one of the old vets, we just had one in Gallant.

He absolutely will get canned unless there's a miracle comeback by the Leafs (as in winning in 7, not just extending to 6).

That means players with more speed and D men who can move the puck under pressure, right?

Keefe would be like going from dial up to fiber optic. I’d take him in a heartbeat.

Structure? Check. Not a dinosaur ? Check. Good communicator ? Check.

He also never had an Igor.

Yeah but he’s been a part of some epic failures and if he can’t win with those guys, he’s not going to be able to win with what we have here.

Panarin is way more underwhelming than all of their top guys.

I mean who tries to get easier to play against?

Either way, getting better puck movement/zone entries is what would make the Rangers harder to play against. There are certainly open spots in the lineup but hopefully they will have learned that more Ryan Reaves type additions aren’t the answers

Yes to the latter but its not like the Leafs are a super fast team.

I read the "harder to play against" comment as separate from the O'Keefe speculation. I was mostly poking fun at the spaciousness of the platitude. The last time the Rangers talked like that they brought in Tinordi, Blais and Reeves.

Obviously it's insanely unlikely to happen, and I'm not sure they have the peices or salary to send back, but Drury should at least be checking in with Chicago to see if they want Panarin back to compliment Bedard

They cant make it more obviously that theyre trying to bring jesper fast back. I dont think “harder” necessarily means tougher/fighters.

I think this means scrappy fast guys like jesper fast, like letting zac jones whos a good skater and puck handler get a real year long shot, like resigning motte, like signing an erik haula. Things like that.
