Can we stop suggest moving to Chytil to the wing? He's a center. He's played center for 95% of his NHL minutes, the organization has developed him as a center and played him at center at every turn, he's said that he's most comfortable as a center and he's always looked at his best when playing center.

He's a center. Any roster move ideas or lineup projections that involve moving him to the wing are about as realistic as suggesting Igor taking the 1LD slot.

PLD deal done with an extension

Some of the contracts centers have signed lately, I'm very content with our centers 1-2-3 both on the ice and on the cap sheet.

Mika at 8.5 AAV is looking like a bargain after seeing some of the center contracts signed after Mika signed his extension. Horvat and Dubois signed for the same 8.5, Barzal signed for 9.2 and Larkin for 8.7 and JT Miller for 8. I think Mika is the best player in that group.

No, thank you.

Wilson is a good player and would make us better. He provides good secondary scoring and is a physical player who can actually skate a regular shift to compliment your high skill forwards.

The problem with Wilson is that he's an absolute psychopath on the ice who deliberately tries to hurt people.

I don't see the problem TBH

The Rangers discussed a Kreider trade with Colorado at the 2019 draft. Colorado had the 16th pick that year and they took Newhook. Were the Rangers taking Newhook with that pick? Maybe Krebs who went 17th. Montreal paid a steep price for Newhook. He hasn’t really developed into the player he was in his draft year.
You have a very good memory. Rangers were very very high on Krebs that year. Higher than Newhook. Top 10 on their board iirc.

Laf is worth more to the Rangers than any pick other than 1 this year. This is a win now team and him blossoming at a small cap hit is far more valuable than any non Bedard magic beans.

You guys are lost in the sauce.

maybe, but getting a Zibanejad replacement sometime in the next 2 years is crucial to the longevity of this team.

We need more centers in the pipeline right now imo. Squeaking into the top-15 somehow could prove beneficially down the road and one of the ways to do that is sell high on a young Lafreniere. But obviously, Drury is going to stand pat and not take a gamble. Better hope Laf doesn't get a crazy offer-sheet or ends up requesting a trade in the next year or by the end of the summer. Losing him for absolutely nothing is another nightmare for me

I would drive LaF cross country to Anaheim, hit the draft in Nashville and bring Fantilli back to NYC.

Wasnt krebs coming off that massive injury, he was in consideration for the 3rd pick if I remember correctly before that.

He has four years of control to go. If he's lost for nothing it's because he was so bad he didn't get qualified.

Come get Goodrow, Mike Grier. Have the Rangers retain the 600 and change to make it an even 3 million bucks, get back future considerations.
