Wilson is a good player and would make us better. He provides good secondary scoring and is a physical player who can actually skate a regular shift to compliment your high skill forwards.
The problem with Wilson is that he's an absolute psychopath on the ice who deliberately tries to hurt people.
Bring back Gauthier and teach him how to kill penalties. He's better than Motte.
That “problem” is why he’s not gonna make any team better.
He’s a repeat offender, he’s been suspended significantly, and frequently crosses the line.
Enough of these useless NHL players. I guess fans want them to have a spot over Cuylle or Othmann. Stick to videogames
Othmann should never be on the 4th. No issue with cuylle on the 4th line.
Cuylle scored 20 goals in the AHL. Why can't he play 3rd line minutes. Move Vesey and Goodrow if still here to 4th line. Othmann and Cuylle both deserve to make team as a top 9 forward.

He can. But cuylle could play on the 4th line and I don’t think it’ll hamper his developmental.
I’m saying that putting Othmann on the 4th would hamper his development.

We know this organization does not simply give youngsters automatic spots whether they deserve them or not.
Except Nils which was just a weird scenario to start with.

In your post you admit he’s not better than Motte.
Motte plays with much better pace, can forecheck and PK. Gauthier is big and good for a stretch after being scratched for weeks.
Motte is the prototype 4th liner. I have no clue what more people want

I’m fine giving Cuylle a spot on the 4th line but nothing he’s done in the AHL has suggested he should be handed 3rd line minutes
He scored 20 in his 1st AHL pro full season. Dubinsky scored 20 during 1st first AHL pro full season. Was he regulated to the 4th line? Why not give Cuylle time with skilled players instead of Vesey and Goodrow types on the 4th line. Cuylle was a 2ed round pick. Its not like he is Tanner Glass type of skill.

We need fourth liners so I don’t think that’s a problem.
Question is whether he or Vesey plays the right side, or if they try to promote Vesey again.

Well, it's really not that black and white. For instance, instead of (re)signing Copp, Drury signed Trocheck. What's the difference really? If we signed Copp it wouldn't LOOK like we wasted assets, but we'd have the lesser asset. We are actually better off.

He even was way more physical this year.
Yeah he sucks defensively but that can be taught. He was way more effective than Motte who turned to be a waste of a roster space. Couldn't rekindle last year's magic.
Motte is only this player 1/3rd of the time. We all just happen to remember him being this player in the playoffs last year.
He was legit one of the worst players on Ottawa this year. He's just not good. Fast and that's it.
