Let’s combine some high unlikely rumors together for something of (almost) Bern proportions!

Laf to MTL for Guhle and 5th overall
Schneider to VAN for 11th overall

At 5 - take one of Smith, Carlson, Leonard, or Michkov
At 11 - look into combining with 23rd overall to trade up to take Michkov if possible, if not, take one of Dvorsky, Perrault, Moore, Benson, or Barlow
At 23 - look into trading back for a later 1st plus a second. Otherwise take bpa

Sign Carson Soucy to play on third pair with Guhle. Still need a top 6 RW, unless you play Chytil there, in which case you’ll then need a 3C.

Figured he'd be an interesting buy low trade candidate. Just two years ago scored 17 goals in 50 something games. I'm all over this. I'll be disappointed if the Rangers don't at least make an offer.

From what I’m hearing most teams are waiting for the 18 wjc investigation to finish.
Don’t want to sign someone who’s then suspended for a year, or is a massive PR nightmare.

Hayes had terrible production for 7+ million.
Goodrow has not bad production for 3. Million.

Finding an available spot for 7 million and passing the no trade clause was impossible,

Comtois had work ethic issues off the ice. Was healthy scratched by Eakins who didn't hold much accountability in general. So it goes to show how bad things were with him. I'd prefer the Rangers not take a chance with him. Not saying new scenery could not help him, but it's risky.

They leaned too hard into the Nashville angle. Love the music, love the attitude, but why is a country music star hosting. Plus they threw his son into it which was annoying and you could tell awkward for the players.

Yeah. I'm on the "strongly consider" boat depending on who's available. But this is an excellent draft and we'd be able to get a really good forward prospect at 11. If he's there I'd probably the trigger. And I'm a fan of Braden.

Problem is, is that once we pick him, he'll forget how to skate, eat a box of pizza rolls before games, and cry to his mammy that Hartford is too windy for him.
