Intentionally or unintentionally, this is phrased in a way that implies that’s Brock’s decision, not necessarily Lou’s
I think it is his decision. He was reportedly offered a deal like 3 weeks ago. Now we have to see if Lou still tries to make the playoffs/ is willing to let him walk for nothingIntentionally or unintentionally, this is phrased in a way that implies that’s Brock’s decision, not necessarily Lou’s
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the deadline be a dud and we do nothing.Resigning Nelson and Palms is exactly what I expect Lou to do, and set the franchise back years in doing so. Fingers crossed they are both traded but the next few years are gonna be grim if they stay.
This means there is no chance Lou is even bothering taking offers on Pageau, Lee and anyone else over 30 who might get us some hope for the future and will only decide to "maybe" flip Palmieri/Nelson if it looks like there is no chance of them re-signing and whatever last minute garbage we are able to scrounge up with if we decide to trade them at 2:45 on Friday
Not only would it seem bizarre to me if he had it on a no-trade list for that reason, I would think going to a legitimate contender would overcome all of that. imo he's going to Winnipeg or Colorado with NJ being the dark horse.I realize Nelsons hometown is near winnipeg but I'd wonder if they are on his no-trade list thus requiring an extra step of permission
thats not a knock on winnipeg whom I'd love to see offer up someone like Colby Barlow
