Having Chytil and Krava playing in the AHL can only be good. Give Fil the 1st line center minutes, let him get chemistry with Kravtsov, whilst we showcase the potential tradables.

Slightly bummed about Lindgren, we could use a gritty kind of defenseman, but there are the anchors of Staal and Smith, alas. On the other hand, who would mind a Calder f***ing Cup, amirite? Knoblauch and the kids, git'er dun!

Can't wait to see how the first third of the season pans out. I fear, the front office will jump at any potential window (re-)opening.

I’m surprised Quinn isn’t keeping Namestnikov and Andersson together. Don’t like what he did there but as Has been said he loves Howden.

Aside from Strome being woefully inadequate for 2C, that's not a terrible forward group for a team that isn't gunning to make a run.
the 4th line is not an NHL line and we're banking on the 3rd line keeping up their chemistry

I understand that we're not gunning for anything but it's still going to be hard to watch

Gorton and co made the right calls with the roster. Haley deserves the 13th forward spot based on his play this preseason.

Chytil and Kravtsov both need AHL time.

Hajek and Fox also earned their spots.

Panarin-Zib-Buch
Kreider-Strome-Kakko
Lemieux-Andersson-Fast (this is a great idea for a pain in the ass checking line)
Namestnikov-Howden-McKegg
Haley

Skjei-Fox
Hajek-Trouba
Staal-DeAngelo
Smith

Let's get to work.

strome actually isnt terrible there at the 2C

much sleeping on this guy. hes talented and motivated.

i think that line will be ok actually and stromer will be a good fit. hes playing for a contract and I'm sure wants to stay put and take that 2C job and keep it.

lets not underestimate the experience he's got playing center

im a strome guy

I am sure Chytil and Kravtsov will make their way back and who cares if they waive Haley at that time.
