Hajek also made the roster, incidentally.

He's probably the one I'm least sold on being NHL ready, but it'll be trial by fire for him.

More NHL "ready" than Marc Staal

I would like to claim that Josh Ho-Sang is different from just about any other head-case in the category he is put in. Why? The kid — has — hockey-sense. He sees the ice well, passes the puck well.

So often the headcases just aren’t good players. Almost always. You become a head case when you suck and can’t get by as a grinder. Ho-Sang’s speed and skating is really good and and he can move the puck. That is a very valuable combination in today’s game.

I think NYI has done an awful job developing him. Cutting him for oversleeping is just bad. It just haven’t been right for him, that approach.

With that said — no matter how hard I try — it’s really hard to fit him in. But I would certainly be thrilled if Gorton gave it a go.

im not understanding howden being so teflon.

he did little.

good for chad.

but for staal, i actually like that defense.

quinn likes vets.

i believe this organization thinks they can make the playoffs this year.

We do have a vacancy at 3RW now that both Chytils and Kravtsov are down.

Do we expect to bump Fast and see McKegg or Smith at right wing? That 3rd line spot could be an in for Ho Sang if he fell.

I kind of agree here. I think he’s very good and like him a lot but man did he get hammered every night he played. Will be interesting to see how he holds up early on.

Lemieux-Andersson-Fast was really good last year and in preseason. Good energy line with some skill

The more i thought about it the more congested the roster is with strome and names on the team. Come tdl or earlier, their value will be higher and they will get traded. The seamless transition that we hope for is chytil and kravstov. Also yay kakko got his number! Im not upset with quinn im upset chytil didnt sieze the moment, but hes 20 and its okay. Lias is gonna chip in 20-30 points on that 3rd line and ill be happy with that if its more in the 30 range.

so what do we do from here

Buch-Zib-Panarin
Kreider-Strome(puke)-Kakko
Names-Lias-Lemieux
Fast-Howden-Haley/McKegg

that forward line-up is uggggggglyyyyyyy.

I don't think we do... do we? Lemieux earned a 3rd line spot. Namestnikov will be a 3rd line winger.

I see Panarin, Kreider, Lemieux, Names down the left and Buchnevich, Kakko, Fast, McKegg down the right.

Presumably you could shift Names to play RW on the third but he hasn't been on that side recently.

You say that so shamelessly, you don’t know what you do to me... ;)

Seriously though, the plan can’t be to keep Kravy and Chytil in the AHL forever. I think that long term aspect makes it harder.

Everything looks good...LGR
Kravtsov and Chytil will be back but Chytil needed a kick in the pants.

Kind of odd to not keep Boo as a scratch.

It honestly makes no sense to me as we will allow him to be stolen for no real reason.

It will be a relief to stop hearing about him though and it will be even more hilarious if he goes unclaimed
