I’m not sure if you guys would be interested, but the Canucks fan base seems to be OK with trading our first overall (11th) for K Miller
i could swear is saw someone say that drury wanted to trade panarin for tkachuk but panarin said no
take panarin tooI’m not sure if you guys would be interested, but the Canucks fan base seems to be OK with trading our first overall (11th) for K Miller
btw for all the hate drury is getting right now, thats exactly the type of player he wantsYeah that was mentioned here. I don’t remember what thread it was in though. Might be the Panarin thread.
Doesn't have to be Panarin involved in that move. Dube makes significantly less.i could swear is saw someone say that drury wanted to trade panarin for tkachuk but panarin said no
i thought you were speculating on destinations for panarin, thats my badDoesn't have to be Panarin involved in that move. Dube makes significantly less.
that is generally the opposite of how this stuff works, the hc is usually the general with the assistants being the ones players can approach. i just think everything around this org is too comfortable for the players. they will always get the best of the best but the staff needs to be much more assertive in what they demand from the players in return. that goes both ways though bc a staff cannot demand much from the players when they seemingly offer little in the terms of an evolving game plan.I'll take Brunnette with a couple of hard ass assistants ( Sutter and Torts types )
This is 100% the problem. Why would other contenders want panarin? You guys act like the NYR games are for nyr fan viewing only. other teams can see the same playoff failures.

You watch a Brind'Amour team with basically no forwards (ok Necas and Aho are decent) and they never stop with the effort. Complete opposite of what you saw pretty much 50 percent of the time in the first round with the Rangers. At this point IDK what it is anymore? The coach? the country club? The players? This is 100% the problem.
It's a country club. Gallant exacerbates the Country Club because he's completely hands off.
It's a competitive sport, I was always under the mind set that he approach needs to be militant. Brind'Amour is the best modern day representation of that.
It’s funny you say that.
We had a pretty good first line in Kreider-Zibanejad-Buchnevich.
We drafted Kakko, who really needed a solid veteran center or LW to help him in that first year, but because Panarin didn’t like this fit it moved him down the lineup. I don’t think some people understand just how bad that was for Kakko, who IMO really started breaking out this season. Meanwhile Panarin was taking Kravstov aside and helping him with his one timer. Thanks a lot for that bread.
It's a perfect storm of laziness. First Class org. Treat them like it's a 5-star resort. Red Carpet. New York lifestyle. Hands-off coach. No accountability. IMO Suspect off-ice training/condiiton. Love the smell of their own farts. Fluffy and optional practices. You watch a Brind'Amour team with basically no forwards (ok Necas and Aho are decent) and they never stop with the effort. I agree, which is why i dont think a burnette type is the answer. this org has been its best when the accountability and demands of torts still was here on the players but they were allowed to be more offensive. ever since the torts demanding and at times "crazy" demanding act of his players slowly withered after he was fired this org has mostly treaded water except for the run last year. say what you will about torts but this kind of shit did not happen when he was here. this is why i keep wondering about babcock. he is going to coach in the nhl again, he is a demanding coach who has also been able to coach offensive players. i am not saying he is the guy, but i do wonder about it.This is 100% the problem.

Panarin for Reinhart
Panarin for Bennett
Panarin to Seattle for futures.
Panarin to Anaheim for futures.
Trouba to Detroit for futures. ( Don't think this is necessary yet, but if his footspeed doesn't improve, he's on the 3rd pair. )
I'd like to target a guys like Foligno from Minnesota. They'll be in cap trouble
Rumbling Lindholm wont re-sign in Calgary. Get back to those talks.
We really need PMD. There's not many, if any, available.... It's why I wanted Chychrun.
I know a lot on here love Gostisbehere but are we gonna pay him 4 million plus? Again unless Panarin and Trouba are gone we have to go bargain bin shopping.Gostisbehere is the answer to the PMD. He can play both sides.
he's ok as a 3rd pair. I was looking for a top4 option.Gostisbehere is the answer to the PMD. He can play both sides.

that is one thing when a player is in their 20s, panarin is going to be 32 in the fall. players that old dont get fixedBecause everyone thinks they can "fix" a guy. We see it all the time (including here.)
Chytil just signed an extension, why would they move him? LolWhen do we get the realistic things the Rangers can do this offseason. They're not going to trade Panarin, Kreider or Trouba. I expect to read thise fantasies for months and the outrage when it doesn't happen but if those guys don't want to move, and why would they, they're going nowhere.
Now, Laf, Chytil, Goodrow? Sure, maybe, why not? Anyone else?
Love Miller but first to admit that he had a disappointing series. I thought he would be able to skate a bit more with the puck maybe create some offense like he did on the first goal of the series.I also thought Miller was dog shit.
and he makes 11.6 million dollars with absolutely no chance to buy out.that is one thing when a player is in their 20s, panarin is going to be 32 in the fall. players that old dont get fixed
unless the cap goes up the Rangers are gonna have to find a way to do this internally.Chytil just signed an extension, why would they move him? Lol
Laf frustrates people but they’re not gonna get a guy who can score 40 points and has upside to explode as cheap as him
Goodrow and Lindgren should be on the table. Sign some cheap bottom 6 guys who can play and aren’t plugs. Get some puck moving on the backend to help take the load off of Fox
