With all these guys forcing themselves to their favorite teams how long before Zegras forces himself here?

Don't write it off.

We need to keep some cap space in our back pocket for this very possibility.

Ninos an interesting player... feels like it was just a couple years ago when the Islanders horrendously botched that situation. When the name comes up now I think talented top 6 winger, it's just weird to see the role he's played for a number of years. Interesting to dig into the numbers a little. The one time he played 18 minutes a game was the year Carolina acquired him from Minnesota and had 30 points in 36 games. It's kind of surprising to see that most of his career he's really only played about 15 minutes a night... and still put out some really productive seasons. Unfortunately there's really no space here, but unlike a lot of tweeners he's the sort of talent where if he actually gets to play a real top 6 role somewhere, 17-18 minutes a night he'd probably be a 60 point player

Given nobody is waiving their NMCs to play in Calgary, there's only one path to trading for Tkachuk: 🦊. Spoiler alert, it's not happening.

I heard John Shannon on a Vancouver podcast. Sekeres and Price. It was yesterday's show. Shannon said the salary cap will be flat for 22-23 and 23-24. The 24-25 cap could increase by as much as $10M. Shannon is not very reliable these days.

Who said inflation was all bad? Cap should be $160M in no time

This is how Paulie will be dropping off Chris(topher) and Kravtsov in Calgary so they can get Tkachuk.

Ohhhhhhhhh, Artemi, the boss of the Rangers told you you’re going to Calgary. You’re GOING to Calgary, so shut the f*** up about it!

Calgary screwed up not giving Tkachuk a long term contract.

He may be 24 and 8th overall in scoring, but he will get a blank check as a UFA. Just like Winnipeg fans about Trouba, Calgary will dream about a tremendous return. When everything is said and done, I would bet that the return is pretty meh.

Tkachuk for Laine? ;)

Panarin was not great at even strength last year, but is it crazy to think that playing with Strome (who himself said he suffered the hip injury in Jan/Feb) and Hunt/Goodrow as his wingers all year may have affected that?

I think his underlying numbers will have a big bounce back playing Trocheck and one of Kakko or Kravtsov next year. Not overly concerned.

Panarin haven’t had an easy ride the last couple of years. The rift with Quinn. Wilson. The smear campaign in Russia.

He wasn’t in form for camp. It’s not even speculation, you could easily tell that he was winded way beyond normal, didn’t have the jump etc etc etc.

That carried over the full season. I saw a picture how he looked ripped towards the end of the season. Was he injured?
