First Scheifele, now Domi.
This board is on a suicide mission to replace Ryan Strome with Ryan Strome.
I’d take Strome if he came in around what Domi will get.

I wouldn’t mind Domi, but not to replace Strome. I would want Domi for the 3rd line. A line with like Goodrow-Domi-Kakko could have potential.First Scheifele, now Domi.

Domi has taken 20 faceoffs in 50 games this year. Kreider has taken 111, by comparison.I wouldn’t mind Domi, but not to replace Strome. I would want Domi for the 3rd line. A line with like Goodrow-Domi-Kakko could have potential.
A lot can be said about Domi, but he is a very slippery at center ice and hard to contain when moving the puck. Doesn’t need a lot of space and he doesn’t need to have a lot of speed when he gets the puck.
That makes him different from Strome and Chytil and it’s abilities that I think we miss.
I am not at all sold on that he fits in long term. Don’t think he will be very cheap. But, I wouldn’t mind taking a flier on him at this deadline.
Flip Chytil and Goodrow, go after Blackwell instead of Jarnkrok and I like it.If Drury wants to build a complete 3rd line, go get Lehkonen and Jarnkrok. Both should be reasonable re-signings. Jarnkrok plays all 3 forward positions like Goodrow. Lehkonen plays either wing.

Sorry guys but a 2nd and Robertson is the equivalent for Rakell
I agree. Which is frustrating to say the least since we had someone better but will have to pay more to replace him. And Rakell won't be re-signed either.I mean, that's not very far off from what I would have guessed before the Manson deal. Would I be happy if it happened? No, but that's about what I expect his value to be. 2nd and a B prospect.
The chances of them getting what they asked for in season was slim anyways. It’s not like he’s got 1 year left, always felt Chychurn was a summer trade anywayThey rolled the dice and held on for a better offer.
Wonder if this pushes him to the off-season now.

Arizona has a huge asking price. Some teams don't share Arizona's enthusiasm for this player. They rolled the dice and held on for a better offer.

Eric Duhatschek, one of our senior writers, also weighed in, praising the proposal’s creativity but saying it has no chance of getting across the finish line. While Arizona is listening to Chychrun offers, the Coyotes won’t make a deal unless they’re blown away.
“They believe Chychrun’s upside is really high: a top-15 defenseman in the league having a bad year,” Duhatschek said. “Not everyone I know shares that perspective. Some GMs I speak to are actually quite lukewarm on him. Not sure how Joe Sakic feels, but my guess is his evaluation of Chychrun might be different than Bill Armstrong’s.”

how can a team that has so many defensemen people praise still need more defensemenHurricanes wanted Manson badly. They are definitely looking to add a dman
Come on man - you're a great poster around here - but this is nonsense.First Scheifele, now Domi.

Agreed. The slander against scheifele is completely ridiculous. The guy is a stud and would be the 3rd or 4th best player on this team and he’s probably better then thatCome on man - you're a great poster around here - but this is nonsense.
Scheifele is 13th in the NHL in scoring over the last 3 years and 19th in the NHL over the last 2 years -- a time frame where this board likes to say he's "declining"... this comparison is nonsense. Both of these numbers - while very close, are ahead of Zibanejad - who again, for his career, MS has outproduced by quite a large margin.
No matter how many times people try and compare MS to Strome - it does make the comparison remotely close.
If WPG would say yes to anything along the lines of Lundkvist, Krav, Chytil and a 1st - the Rangers would drive all of them to airport in a heartbeat.
