Could mean anything. Could be Panarin, could just be a reference to what he said about bringing Kravtsov and Shestyorkin over.

that could mean anything though...people that want panarin will interpret that as him saying he wants to sign panarin. but you could also speed up the process by trading away kreider for a high pick and prospect to ensure we are even worse next year

I don't want either obviously. But I think EK could be a TOTAL disaster with his mounting injury history and from even what he said after his achilles injury. What did he miss 35+ games this year? With a gun to my head I'd rather get Panarin. Hopefully we stay out of that boat completely. Stay the course.

i don't see how he makes any sense. considering we won't be any good for another 2-3 years. if we were ready to contend next year i'd agree. but given the time line i don't see how he makes any sense

Signing EK scares me shitless unless NYR find some way to make Smith, Staal, and Shattenkirk all disappear somehow without retaining a cap hit.

Even then, it still scares me a little.

Top pairing guys are rare as they are, top pairing RHD's are basically unicorns.

That and hes a better player than Panarin. They should stay away from both, but if its one or the other, EK makes much more sense.
