Are you saying Parise is not a legit 1st line winger? If so, I truly can't take your opinion seriously.

EDIT: To be clear, I mean pre-UFA Parise.
Trust your gut man. There’s no way to figure out if you can trust yourself unless you trust your gut and see how that works out for you

Pre-UFA Parise was a 1st line player. But trending towards wearing down, and game based on getting the living hell beaten out of him to get to the areas he scored from. Panarin’s a magician

I'd like to land Panarin, but it wont ruin my day if they dont as we can continue doing what we are doing.

Panarin is a far better fit for the Panthers ATM. They are right there. Add coach Q and Panarin? They are going places. Add Panarin to NYR? A s****** draft pick and eternal mediocrity.

Oh yeah, I agree that FL is a better fit. By the same account it would be best if they went to the West.

Friedman said the asking price for Kreider during the season was very high. The Rangers made clear they didn't need to trade him.

Also said he believes Fox wants to be a Ranger.

Florida has Barkov, Hubardeau, Yandle, Ekblad, Dadanov, Hoffman, and Trocheck to play with. 4 70+ point scorers and a 60 point defensemen. And Panarin's old coach.

But what's all that compared with Brendan Smith at forward and Neal Pionk with Lindy Ruff giving pointers from the bench?

Delusional.

So, Parise with an injury-shortened year of just over a dozen games, and then a decidedly down year production-wise going into UFA, is the same as a slightly younger Panarin, with no injury history to speak of, and coming off a career high in points (not to mention the "low mileage" angle since he joined the league late)?

I disagree. Panarin is a MUCH lower risk than Parise was at the time. One could argue that the "reward" is almost the same, but not the "risk."

Rosen (Dan) on Twitter:

Rangers GM Jeff Gorton said he likes the track the team is on but added, "there’s a lot of things that can happen this summer to speed that up.” He then said, "I think we will try to do everything we can to advance it."

More from Rosen:

Gorton said the Rangers are trying to get Vitali Kravtsov and Igor Shestyorkin signed so they can be here at the start of next season.

Ok. Who do the Rangers have to match a 23 year old 96 pt #1 C? Along with a former teammate in Dadonov, that he had success with? Not even counting coach Q?

In the last 17 years they made playoffs twice. They have had " good" players for the last 7 years. If they somehow dont get Bobrovsky they will finish worse than us next year.

And they had 4 more wins than us....beautiful.

Oh no. Poor Dan Rosen is next up on the pundits that relay messages HF doesn’t wanna hear.

Let’s be honest, everyone steers these comments toward what they want or what they believe.

In in most cases, there’s a hell of a lot of room to do that because when you read the quotes, they really don’t say anything.

May 1st is the earliest that can happen.

Even if it wasn't... Shestyorkin is still playing, and Kravtsov is on vacation in Thailand so even if they were free to negotiate, it is unlikely to happen in the next few days

No one is picking the panthers over the Rangers if the money is the same even with the tax difference. No one has ever said oh screw the Rangers let me play In front of 8k people in sunrise fla. never happens. If gorton wants Panarin he’s going to get him.

Sounds to me like he’s all in to make this the bottom and wants to accelerate things this summer
