Strome should be nowhere near center ice. Thats the problem with the 2nd line.. Copp needs to center it not Strome. Need a guy who can win faceoffs and play a 200ft game. Strome doesnt do that. Goodie will be fine in the 3rd line center spot.
I'm just telling you how it is gonna be, Gallant has made that obvious

Strome plays worse at wing, but Copp is just as effective, it makes sense

Copp will take the draws but Strome will switch to center when puck is in play

Based on the dashboard in the foreground, I feel like I've learned less about Adam Fox and more about you.

tis that an open coke can upside down in the dash. get it together

I belive i am spotting a yoohoo though, so he gained some points back.

Especially if he slammed it.
Lol. If you look at the text I attached you’ll see that’s not my vehicle or dashboard. I don’t drink yoohoo or coke either.

never learned how to read these stats? whats going on?

A lot of the charts are plain unreadable. That's one of those that's not that bad. You just look at the axes and see where each player corresponds. So top right is high expected goals and low expected goals against. Which is obviously good, Copp is completely alone on an island in that area of the chart.

8. New York Rangers

Record: 46-20-6
Last week: 4
Dom rank: 8
Sean rank: 8

Dom: Look who’s sitting in the top five in expected goals since the trade deadline, baby! That’s right, your New York Rangers who are starting to look like much more than a team that lives and dies by its goaltending. As it turns out, adding some depth around the edges is exactly what this team needed and they’re going to be an extremely scary out come playoff time. Just ask the Penguins, the team’s most likely playoff opponent, who have had three tilts with the Rangers since the deadline and have come away empty-handed each time. That matchup is not looking ideal for them at all with the team getting outscored 11-3 by New York.

Special shoutout to Andrew Copp who has fit like a glove for the Rangers so far with 10 points in nine games and a casual 65 percent expected goals rate. This team is no paper tiger anymore.

I really feel Drury should look to move Goodrow in the offseason to free up cap space to try and keep this team together. Most people agree that when Chytil comes back he will slot in between Laf and Kappo on the 3rd line. You can't pay a 4th line guy a little over 3.6 mill. If Chytil doesn't work between Laf and Kappo I think he could me moved too. I saw the main board had a Casey Mittlestat thread. Even swap for Goodrow might make sense for Buffalo if they are looking to build a winning chemistry to teach their young guys how to win. Not a Goodrow hater because I like what he brings I just feel his cap hit and watching those top 2 lines with Copp and Vatrano make me want to see them back next year.

Chytil if he doesn't work, Goodrow and Nemeth free up almost 8.5 mill on top of what we have available could be enough to bring everyone back.

Goodrow ain’t getting traded after year 1 of 6 with an NTC. And it’s highly unlikely NYR even entertain it

Goodrow, for some reason, has a 15 team no trade clause lol. I'm pretty miserly about this kind of stuff but it definitely looked like a bad contract from day one. It's a cold business but I don't think it's cold enough to name a guy assistant captain and trade him after year one when he really didn't do anything wrong, like what did they expect from him that he didn't do? This is the player they signed

because goodrow is the weak link on that line. He does not get the puck to either of those players. They basically play short handed because of goodrow.
Goodrow carried that line yesterday. Laf and Kakko weren’t doing anything and Goodrow was the one who kept the puck in the zone for most of their shifts

Lots of things are highly unlikely but that doesnt mean it won't happen. If Drury has the ability to keep this team together by moving Goodrow he should really consider doing it. Shoot half this board agrees Nemeth gets moved next year and that is year 2 of his deal too. Goodrow got way overpaid on that deal and on a deeper team it shows.....like now.

Eh....if it makes the team better you do it. Its not like he took a huge discount to come here and play. He got way overpaid. It worked out for both parties this year......next year however with the sudden cap crunch and the newest acquisitions looking great, how does Drury not even consider it?

Lets see how he does in the playoffs before we entertain moving him already. He has also done exactly what he was brought in here to do although I understand he is somewhat overpaid.
