Losing Motte is such bullshit, I hope he can make it back for the playoffs

Be nice to see if Hunt-Rooney-Reaves can rekindle their forechecking game.

People talk about how the Copp acquisition has been good so far but the value we're getting out of Vatrano for a 4th round pick is outstanding.

Also how odd is it that Kakko and Rooney are returning from long injuries at exactly the same time

Ugh, Motte was a really effective 4th liner, and now Reaves is back on the 4th line and Barclay Goodrow is somehow centering the two kids.

Just a puke filled Friday.

it is amazing how kakko never seems to smile. two videos and both are of people on the ice laughing and trying to have fun and he looks like he is stuck watching soap operas at the nursing home.

as for motte it is extremely obvious that he separated his shoulder, anyone who has done that knows there is a separation there, he also may have sustained a collarbone injury as well. Hopefully he can be back from the playoffs, his speed and energy are infectious to a lineup, but this is why you need nhl depth if you are going to make a run...

I don't think we see that line at all. One of Hunt/Reaves sits, unless Chytil is actually out and not just maintenance.

So a win for the penguins yesterday injuring a guy that would be a pain in the ass to play against in the playoffs. Hope his shoulder can heal in 3 weeks or so
 
Going into the Playoffs, this should be the lines and pairings:


Kreider - Zib - Vatrano
Panarin - Copp - Strome
Laf - Chytil - Kakko
Motte - Rooney - Goodrow


Of course we may need to play Ryan Reaves if we play the Capitals, but yeah.

Goodrow will be at Center over Rooney and likely also get some shifts on the 3rd line in tight games where the Rangers are ahead. Strome would also play Center for all but faceoffs. If Motte is out, which it sounds like he very well will be, then that will be Hunt there I assume.
