i literally hate this kid. I can’t say I’ve felt that way about many if any NyRs in the past but I despise everything about this kid
Just complete garbage. Unreal the jealousy, contempt, whatever it is. He is delusional thinking he deserves to be the number 1 guy on this team.

We should however be the team retaining on rental deals this season to get some extra picks
Things that will never happen for $100

The Rangers have never been the ones to do this regardless of the amount of cap space, and their certainly not going to do it when they’re among the point leaders in the league.

Drury is definitely buying at the deadline, the no rentals crowd might as well just get on the train and hope the team figures it shit out come playoff time

Well, there’s a difference between thinking the Rangers should trade Lundkvist Kravtsov or first round picks for rentals, and then those that might be okay with trading Reunanen, Pajuniemi, or 3rd round picks for less shiny rentals.

Pretty much any asset you called out aside from Lundkvist is going to be fair game come the deadline

All aboard!
Choo Choo!

Just get rid of him. Kinkaid isn't really that much worse.

I would have cut both he and DeAngelo last year after their fight, TBH. Regardless of what you think of DeAngelo, Gorton and Quinn handled that so, so poorly, and was the beginning of the end for both of them here.
The boys in the room LOVE Blockaid

At least that wouldn't have had the look of favoring your shitty backup goalie over one of the more talented offensive defensemen in the league.

Georgiev has played some decent hockey for this team. That decent hockey has come mixed in several stretches of awful hockey, and at the expense of a buyout of a franchise legend and allegedly of a highly talented and outspoken defenseman.

He now seems to have a problem with our new franchise player.

Why do we bother with this guy? He’s a nobody. I feel like he just materialized out of the ether too. Not drafted. Never a guy anybody had their eye on. He just showed up one day.

What are we doing?

Who happened to be on his last strike.
The shitty backup goaltender is weird, but never got told by multiple people in the locker room he needed to leave non hockey shit outside the locker room.
ADA had a fantastic season in 19-20. He earned that extension. And then he came into the locker room and as reported, had been warned by gorton before the fight "last strike". This is a guy who's been traded from multiple teams and suspended for things that are not hockey specific. You want to say "he grew up from the guy in juniors" well if he's called into gorton's office for that discussion, clearly not.

I don't know about any of the other stuff but I can't fathom anyone caring about twitter arguments he got into, even if you make the case that it has nothing to do with his politics. It's just really hard for me to care that he's a drama queen on twitter.

Im not talking about twitter.
Im talking about within a day of him being put on waivers, insiders in here came out and said, ADA had been an issue in the locker room since camp. That multiple players had talked to him to try and get him to leave outside shit outside, and the players dont care what he posts on twitter, they care about the locker room. Eventually it got to the point that Gorton gave him a discussion.
The fact that he got into it with Geo, no matter who starts it, proves he didnt understand at the time what "last strike" means.
I am in no way shape or form talking about his politics or twitter posts. I am simply talking about the fact that a 25 year old adult who was potentially making $4m could not understand what "last strike" means and be on his best behavior, especially after having a reputation and being traded in the NHL twice before the age of 23. This is not some grizzled veteran who didnt like the rules. This is a guy who had a reputation of "not worth the hastle in the locker room".

Really not sure why grown ass players that have the maturity and dedication to make it into the best league in the world need everyone in the locker room to be a saint or "not a distraction". At some point talent should win out. This isn't Aaron Hernandez or even Michael Vick we're talking about. I'm sure close to 100% of us have had experience working with assholes or people we didn't get along with, did their bosses bend over backwards to fire these people?

Oh, he's a garbage goaltender.

But this fanbase has loved garbage players, not naming any names.
I think theres a difference between a bad skater and a bad goaltender. Like sure a player might be not good when they are on the ice but he can still endure himself to the fans through things like hits fights etc. But if you're a bad goaltender who consistently shits the bed theres nothing you can really do to shake that.
