The rangers and jets have a trading history together.
I think there could be potential adding Copp for the playoff run... he wouldn’t break the bank.

bigger question.... would you do Kakko+ Lundkvist+ 1st for PLD???? That’s probably in the realm of what it would cost???
He’s still very young, and has played well with panarin in reg season/playoffs already???? Thoughts

After he had his stretch when shesty was injured I would have likely moved him. But at this point you probably can’t unless your positive your bringing in a Greiss /Halak type back up going into the postseason.
If I’m EDM, I would absolutely give Geo a shot at a larger role the rest of the season.... he’d be better then what they have if he’s getting a heavy dose of games...

a ppg player not even in his prime yet. Guy is a terrific hockey player and has been since he's come into the league. Remember watching him in the 2019 playoffs and was like this kid can play.
he's under contract for anothe year after this. I don't think you would wanna know what it would take to get him if Dallas was dumb enough to trade him.

Way too much, and I like Dubois.

They are very weak on RD, so Lundkvist would be a huge get for them. Especially now since the shine off pionk has faded a bit. Like most of us on here already knew, physical he gets way too exposed when the games get tighter/faster and the ice gets smaller.
You don’t see those Pionk is better then Trouba nonsense posts anymore either...
But there would have to be some incentive for them to move PLD.
essentially, you’d be giving him the money you’d be giving to kakko. Both guys are Former high draft picks.
PLD has had a good year, still very young, known chemistry with panarin, is a center that plays a strong 2-way game, plays physical, etc which would balance well with Zibby, etc
He checks an awful lot of boxes as a long term strome replacement. I think PLD/LaF could potentially have some magic as well.
If Drury is going to swing for the fences, I’d rather it be for PLD, then Scheifle who while great is already 29 and would likely cost a similar price, or overpay to get a guy like Copp that’s not as talented and doesn’t have the ceiling of PLD. He’s also looking at a pretty substantial raise after a career season

I’d think Columbus would do Korpisalo for Georgiev but NYR will want them to add since Georgiev can be controlled as an RFA

I could see Domi in a deal.

let them develop. If you think the teams ready for a Cup run this year that’s a problem

next year is more realistic cause they need to grow and experience some adversity

I was listening to Marek's podcast with Elliotte Friedman and they were discussing Arizona leaking information to get teams to increase their offers. Elliotte said I know that trick. The teams aren't responding. LeBrun said teams should not wait until the deadline to acquire Miller. Someone leaked that to him. A few weeks ago, Elliotte and Jeff said they heard a rumor that Miller asked for a trade out of Vancouver. They didn't say if that request was made this season or during the summer.

When Miller is the prize of NHL trade deadline day, you know trade deadline day will suck.

The biggest value he has is still his potential.

I'd only trade Laf for Shane Wright at this point, though the drafting team would never do that. lol

As far as JT Miller I could see it but as many have stated and last night was an example, he needs PP time.

Panarin--JT--CK
Zibs--Fox

Strome moves to the second PP.

I'll go full Bern:

Miller and Chytil for Chich and Hayton

Kravs, Nils, Paju, 1st for JT Miller and Halak

Gavirkov for the blues 2nd

Geo to Arz or Edmonton for a 2nd this year 3rd next season.

Chick replaces Miller--Gavirkov and Jones/Nem mixed in.

Now while in this fantasy land we don't have to worry about next year because we always have Dolan's funny money. If the Rangers send down Goat this might fit the salary cap for the rest of this year.
