It's time to turn Chytil into a good young NHL player... as in package him and trade him
Proposal?

problem with that is, cost. We need someone affordable. No, please god no. Get an established NHL player. I don't want to get another kid and watch him die on this team as well. Our track record is too awful recently to think that bringing in another young player is going to fix anything.
Chytil+ for HagelProposal?
Absolutely zero interest in becoming an even worse skating team.Krav for vilardi as the bases of the deal would be great.. he’s got potential just hasn’t put it together yet

We have a glaring hole at the top line RW and we have a highly skilled, cost controlled prospect just waiting for us in the K. Plugging VK into Buch’s old spot next to Mika is so obvious that I don’t even want to type it.
Bring VK back. Trade surplus D for a speedy, 25ish yo 2 way center. Maybe upgrade Nemeth with someone decent and cheap.
Just to be clear, I posted this about a month ago. One of my Coyote peeps tipped me off that Chychrun’s father (former NHLer Jeff) has told the Coyotes to move Jacob. The family is very unhappy with the tear down. I wasn’t posting anything I heard.Sorry I missed that. This thread is moving like crazy, wasn't trying to steal your info.
Excellent all around player.what type of d is chychrun? and is his last year just an outlier?

they are almost forced to.There is zero chance the Rangers have their eyes on Hagel.
When was the last time the organization made a move like that? They only trade for Stars, 4th liners or reclamation projects.
Which fit would be better for him - Fox or Trouba?Excellent all around player.
I think he was playing hurt earlier this year.
I guess I just don't understand why LA helps us get chychurn. They have enough to get chychurn and then separately trade for a winger like kravtsov.LA could get equal value if Drury is thinking about trading Miller + Kravtsov. If Drury does go for Chychrun then Miller becomes movable, Miller and Chychrun both are too good for a third pairing role and Miller is no more a fit playing for the Coyotes in their current state than Chychrun is. That's the point of this approach to make all three parties happy.
For example:
NYR nets: Chychrun, Turcotte or Kupari + ARI 2nd round pick (one of the zillions they have).
ARI nets: Chytil, Turcotte/Kupari, Jones/Robertson, 1st (LA) - upgrade on the NYR pick
LA nets: Miller, Kravtsov
NYR gives up: Miller, Kravtsov, Chytil, Jones/Robertson (2 roster players; gain 2 roster players)
LA gives up: Turcotte, Kupari, 1st (no roster player; gain two roster players)
ARI gives up: Chychrun + 2nd '22 (one roster player, gain several)
Anyway obviously this is just a thought experiment. LA have tons of prospects that they can't fit or simply doesn't really fit their style (Kupari had a long look but didn't stick, Turcotte's struggled to break in, no doubt many LA fans see it differently).
Probably TroubaWhich fit would be better for him - Fox or Trouba?
they are almost forced to.
but Yamamoto would be more in line with Sather... he loves his former 1st rounders
Yeah I definitely didn't remember that, but as per the norm you are right on about the coyotes!Just to be clear, I posted this about a month ago. why stack a pair when we can get a strong 48 minutes out of our top4? We need the puck movement spread outWhich fit would be better for him - Fox or Trouba?
at least he can skate.Yuck.
As I said elsewhere, if Vegas wants to sit h dadanov they (Vegas) can pay the fee to a team like arz or Seattle to retain some dead cap for 1.5 years to facilitate a trade if they prefer. His cap hit next year makes him a no go. And as much as people believe that Smith is going to be expensive, let's remember that the Knights NEED to move out an incredible amount of money and can't take any back, and other teams absolutely know that. Rangers are one of only a handful of teams that can easily take his full deal.
I know YOU want these players, but who is Chicago or Edmonton trading those players?Chytil+ for Hagel
Another nice option would be Yamamoto from Edmonton...
Lightning were able to do that in a shortened COVID season. Both Eichel and Martinez will be ready sometime next month. This season goes all the way to the end of April this year. They absolutely need to trade bodies and cannot take any salary back. Also Dadonov has a M-NTC so he won't be as easy to just dump on some team.As I said elsewhere, if Vegas wants to sit h dadanov they (Vegas) can pay the fee to a team like arz or Seattle to retain some dead cap for 1.5 years to facilitate a trade if they prefer.
For all the comments that Vegas MUST trade someone, we've seen two clear examples of cup winners that didn't need to do it and it worked out. There's still plenty of time for someone out there to end up on ltir with a sprained pinky to buy them time. They aren't as desperate as people want them to be and Kelly Mac is an extremely thoughtful and patient guy. No panic moves there.
who knows what Chicago wants. Chytil+?I know YOU want these players, but who is Chicago or Edmonton trading those players?
I just wouldn't qualify him thenDifference between Hunt and Debrusk is Hunt is signed for 1 more year at $760K while Debrusk is an arbitration eligible RFA this summer who's qualifying offer I believe is $3.7MM. Think that might be a bit too pricey with the Rangers cap situation next season and to possibly play him on the 4th line.
He's helped build an elite team in a minute. They have constantly made things work. People need to stop acting like Jason botterill is the gm there or something...Lightning were able to do that in a shortened COVID season. Both Eichel and Martinez will be ready sometime next month. I don't know if I would call Mackcrimmon paitient and thoughtful. No serious GM builds their team like this.
