I have to laugh when I see Vancouver fans on Twitter demanding 1st + Schneider + Laf, and debating whether it's worth it to take on Zib's contract.
Can you post a link to that?
Most of the discussion is in here. I love that a response said Schneider isn't a good enough prospect so a first needs to be added, too.
Just wait til they read that we traded Miller straight up for NamestnikovGod some people are so dumb,
In what world is JT Miller a top 15 player?
Attacking Brett Berard for his size and round drafted is dumb too.
Someone actually suggested Laf and Schneider.

Need. Secondary. Scoring
Don't worry.... Ryan Carpenter is on the wayNever more obvious than it was tonight. Gallant is showing Drury he needs another top 6 body
So with a 14 day break coming up, this would be the optimum time to make any significant roster changes. If you are going to take any current players off the roster, this is the best time.
All I’m getting from my Arizona peeps is that Chychrun is being aggressively shopped but no deal is close. If the Rangers were going to move a current NHL defenseman (not named Hajek) this is the time. If there is a chance to add a premium player to the top four, the Rangers have to be in on any deal.
While the breaks vary for other teams, a lot of the same dynamic is in play. The Rangers need to find secondary scoring and that search starts in Vegas. My peeps say Eichel and Martinez are both getting close. If they are going to deal away a big salary, now is the time for the Rangers to step up.
it would be very unusual for a team among the best in the league to make two major moves, but the unique circumstances around Chychrun and the Rangers salary cap flexibility make this a very unusual year.

That who Canucks thread of the trade forum is off their rocker... there’s one schmuck that keeps insisting Miller is a top 15- 20 nhl FwdI have to laugh when I see Vancouver fans on Twitter demanding 1st + Schneider + Laf, and debating whether it's worth it to take on Zib's contract.

Listening to Friedman and Marek they let slip at one point that chychurn's family is not happy and that they wanted a move. I'm sure that spills over into the player as well. I just think it was time, he's a great young player but he probably doesn't want to piss away is young prime years while the coyotes go through another rebuild. It's becoming obvious that they are targeting competing again in 3 or 4 years once they have hopefully a new arena wind up wherever that is. He almost assuredly doesn't want to sit around and waste a lot of good years on that waiting aroundI have to assume Chychrun privately demanded a trade. I cannot see the rationale behind moving a 23 year old cost controlled top pair dman. And his game clearly has suffered this year.
but if I did have to trade him I’d be demanding KAndre Miller in return as the main part of the package
so like I said I don’t really get it. Other than Drury saying I want a lights out top 4 and I want to win THIS year.
They also traded a 1st round pick for him which was then traded to NJ which they used to pick Shakir Mukhamadullin.Miller has been really really good for Vancouver, that's why they don't want to give him up for "cheap"
Go big or go home.Smith and Chychrun are perfect fits. I am very hesitant to deal K’Andre or Lindgren for Chychrun though
