Definitely not trustworthy though, he said the same thing about Eichel lol
Fair enough but the Rangers really did make the better offer for Eichel and the Sabres just didn't want to deal him here.

So is this just a re-aggravation of the same shoulder issue from earlier in the season for KK?
I'm worried about the Kotkaniemi-style offer sheet with Kakko. Guess the Canes were in a unique position because they had so much cap, and they were so secure that they would be good this year.
They did?
Me too. Hope he gets that then from some other team, but none of those teams will have Panarin on it. How much is it worth it to him to ride with this team?I think if Strome takes a penny under $5m I will be shocked. And that $5m would be on a LONG deal, think like 6-7 years.
This is a distinct possibility as well. Would the team be okay with Barron starting the season as their 2C?
The Canes offer sheeted him because the Habs offer sheeted Aho. Unless I'm mistaken the last time the Rangers threatened to offersheet someone was Shea Weber in 2012, so I think we're in the clear.I'm worried about the Kotkaniemi-style offer sheet with Kakko. The Canes also offer sheeted him because they liked the player. Everyone seems to forget Kotkaniemi is actually goodThe Canes offer sheeted him because the Habs offer sheeted Aho. This is a false narrative. It's has been widely reported that the canes tried to trade for him before they offer sheeted him. If this was about retribution than why did they tried to trade for him?The Canes offer sheeted him because the Habs offer sheeted Aho. Yes....but spite what the major factor in why it was done. Right down to the signing bonus and the tweets that followed from the Canes themselves. The Canes also offer sheeted him because they liked the player. Everyone seems to forget Kotkaniemi is actually good
Nothing is false about that. They wrote the spite directly into the contract itself. This is a false narrative. It's has been widely reported that the canes tried to trade for him before they offer sheeted him. If this was about retribution than why did they tried to trade for him?
The only reason that happened is because of Montreal offer-sheeting Aho.I'm worried about the Kotkaniemi-style offer sheet with Kakko. Guess the Canes were in a unique position because they had so much cap, and they were so secure that they would be good this year.
You were gonna put Domi at 2c? Biiiiiig no thanks. I dont know if Barron ever becomes a 2c on a good team but should be a good 3c. I feel that Strome is gonna be here for a while.
Wonder if one of Fox or Lindgren is the guy who is banged up.
Yes! I was thinking the same thingIf so, can I give Arizona 2-3 pieces for Lundell?
In my opinion, based on what Vince reported, hell yeah.
Here are the 2C on the teams with 50+ points this year:
Bennett - 4.4M
Cirelli - 4.8M
Kadri - 4.5M
Strome - 4.5M
Malkin - 9.5M
Trocheck - 4.8M
Barbashev 2.25M or Thomas 2.8M
Backstrom - 9.2M
Johansen - 8M
Tavares - 11M
Hartman 1.7M/Eriksson Ek 5.2M/Gaudreau 1.2M take your pick
Haula - 2.4M
Karlsson 5.9M or Stephenson 2.75M
You don't need a big expensive 2C. Most teams don't have one. 4-5M range is pretty typical. You can also do cheaper. Spending money to upgrade Strome to have a better 2C to center Panarin, who doesn't need it, is an absolute waste. We should be looking for someone in the 2-3M range to fill in that role and let it ride.
Agree if it allows us to get Chychrun but still pessimistic on The Who?Here are the 2C on the teams with 50+ points this year:

They did?
Unironically this might very well happenAt this rate Kakko's going to be on a minimum qualifier contract next season without arbitration.
