Hintz would be a great get, but that ship has sailed.

Pavelski or Copp would probably be the two I'd really look into, but that's assuming Winnipeg doesn't re-sign Copp or use him as a self-rental.

Jarnkrok might be a good depth option, too. Anyone want Namestnikov round 2?

Copp is interesting but hes more of a 3C in my opinion. Jarnkrok id take as well. Namestnikov did a lot of sulking once he got to the Rangers and thats left a bad taste in my mouth, id pass on him.

Ty Dellandrea To Rangers for Kravtsov?

Prospect for prospect swap.

Dallas gets RW depth they need, Rangers get center depth they need. Both were former 1st round picks. Dellandrea is a Travis Konecny upside at center.

I think you get a top 6 rental so the kids can play with quality forwards up and down the lineup, and for additional depth, not to push all the kids onto a single line that plays 10 minutes a night.
but that's what I see happening.

Namestnikov would be great middle-six depth, in my book.

I wouldn't necessarily worry if Copp was brought in to be 3C. He's always been good on face-offs. He's been playing both 3C and then top-6 LW this year.

If Chytil sticks on wing, it could add a good bit of balance to the lineup, and it provides a lot of options for mixing and matching. Each kid could be placed with some vets throughout the top-9.

Jarnkrok would be another guy to add a bit of depth to the top-9.

My priority would still be to sort out that 3rd pairing... Nemeth and Hajek could be upgraded. I'm just not sure about who's out there. Would Seattle rent out Giordano? I feel like he's been a long-time Sather target.

Crouse makes so much sense for this team. He’s everything we hoped Gauthier would be. Third line should be Laf-Goodrow-Crouse, and next year imagine a checking line of Blais-Goodrow-Crouse followed up with the 4th line that’ll also grind teams down. I agree with whoever posted it above: Rangers should make depth moves, Crouse fits the team like a glove.

Definitely agree on Copp, i more meant he would be less impactful to the top 6 than Pavelski would be. The 3rd pair absolutely needs to be addressed and Giordano makes a ton of sense. My question would be, how much does he have left in the tank? Because we know the Rangers were interested at the expansion draft.

I also cant say with certainty that Nemeth would be coming out of the lineup for a deadline add. More likely we see Nemeth-"Giordano". I want Schneider to stay in, but im not sure the coaching staff considers him a lock yet

There will be stiff competition for his services.

So the three untouchables in Chicago are obviously missing DeBrincat's name, but there's another name missing...would Kirby Dach be available? Seems crazy to think he wouldn't be mentioned in that list as well. Hypothetically, if he was, I would be calling them ASAP.

For sure. If we're talking top-6, I would definitely be looking at Pavelski. Personally, I just think having a strong 3C could help balance the lineup since Chytil hasn't been so great this year.

Right now, I'm pretty sure Giordano is playing top-pair minutes for Seattle (about 22 per night). 3rd pair minutes might work a bit better for him at this point since it wouldn't be so taxing, but it would all come down to cost for me, as well as assuming he's even available.

Giordano-Schneider would be a third pair I'd love to see. Granted, Schneider is just 3 games into his career, but he's off to a very auspicious start.

I can't believe the Hawks would trade a 24 year old 35-40 goal scorer. WTF.

Sure would you trade Kakko plus?

In your opinion, do you think the team likes Hertl over Strome, or would they try to find a way to add him to Strome?

I think they've always liked Hertl more, but the question with Strome might come down to how much he's willing to take in order to remain a Ranger.

If he's in the RNH range, that will potentially impact their thinking. If they sign him, it's quite possible that Chytil is moved to wing (or included in a deal).

haha...and our boy??? Kinda the pot calling the kettle black. I mean let's look it from the others team perspective not always ours.
That's what I'm saying. If it was a Kakko for Dach swap that's even, but I don't think a plus is necessary there if you're trading Kakko for him.

Gotcha. I'm just not Sure the Hawks would do an even swap? Maybe but that's what it would take not Nils and a 2nd or Jones and a 2nd.

Nemeth - Colin Miller

Are they poor predictors of success? I feel like people say they're the best. I am not into analytics though and am definitely one of the more anti-advanced stats people here. But unfortunately they do back up the eye test for me in this case. I don't see us generating offense at even strength, we don't have that same dynamic puck moving that we did through the Quinn years. I think we looked a lot more deadly with DeAngelo, Fox is great but doesn't have that same skating or high flying offense. Fox slows the game down, which is great, but we need some more speed on the back end. Jones plays a bit similar to DeAngelo but is a much weaker skater, I think a lot of us were expecting Lundkvist to play that type of game but in his brief stint he was a bit of a dud
Even strength is a problem though they were better against Toronto. I do want to see a Jones-Schneider pairing or even Jones-Lundkvist in order to help out the attack. Seems like the best way to boost the offense. Would the defense really be that much of a detriment? I’d like to see them try it anyhow.
