But why move Miller? What is wrong with him?

They can bridge him after next season.

He made two turnovers the last two games as a young defender and half the people on Facebook and IG see Schneider is called up and are like "he's here to replace Miller. Put Miller in the stands."

It's ok for young players to not be perfect. It's ok for the Rangers to have players stay in their organization for their full RFA years +.

I honestly don't remember the fans base being this brain dead when I was a kid in 90s and even after the 2004-05 lockout.
There nothing terribly wrong with Miller. He is about where you would expect him to be. Inconsistent young player.

I’m not actively shopping him but I am not redlining him for a possible deal. I’d put Kakko in the same boat.

Make me an offer.

Schedule is tricky, they won’t have a practice until after the Philly game on Saturday.

Do they start Igor without giving him a practice?
I think they should, it’s not like he’s coming back from an injury. He probably wasn’t even symptomatic and if he were it would likely be like a mild cold, before this players used to play with the flu (which they were a lot more symptomatic of) all the time.

I mean I would argue that now is the time you trade Kakko if there is a deal there. Let someone else pay that extension and don’t give his value the chance to drop further.

If there’s a game but everyone falls asleep first, did the game ever really happen…?

This 2 week stretch with only 1 Ranger game was a very weird scheduling decision by the NHL. Oh well, at least they will be rested.

I would deal Miller for McDavid hands down, but that is about it. The rest I would have to think long and hard about.

He coughed up the puck twice? For me that is 100% a big so what. So does Fox too on a regular basis and he is about the most consistent person on earth I’ve ever seen.

If he had a different job, he wouldn't be given the opportunity to settle for a million.

Again "blacklisted" is not the right term to use. If 32 teams felt he wasn't worth the gamble that would be 100% on him and it's a consequence of his actions. When someone is blacklisted it's being done to that person. If he couldn't find a job with an NHL team, he would have done it to himself. And if that's being blacklisted in your book, then your book is wrong.

No but if he was paid 100k a year in a “normal job”, he make be able to get one that pays him 10k a year without any job security. Isn’t that a more fair comparison for someone that goes from being a 7 year and what 8m player to 1 year and 1m player.

If he has value for someone — everything considered of course — at 1m and 1 year, but doesn’t get an offer, how can he not be labeled to be blacklisted?

Again, I don’t know how terrible he is. He might be such a big cancer that nobody even should look his way. But at the same time, he can play on the ice and of 32 teams in this league, it’s hard to see that he couldn’t help one single of them.

The only truly untouchable players for me are Fox, Panarin, Shestyorkin, Lafrenière and Kakko. Every team in the league has at least 1 player I'd offer anyone else for in a package.

No.

Because he's getting a job offer. The 1 for 1 is sole because of his actions. He is the reason that is in the position where the team that gave him to big contract felt that they had no other recourse but get rid of him. So—again—no, that's not blacklisting.

I really don't understand what parts of accountability and consequences you seemingly can'y grasp.
