Zucc didn't want to talk to the media after practice today, but a Norwegian reporter got a few words out of him. The last question is the most interesting one, sounds like he's a little pissed and done with the Rangers..

What do you think about leaving the Rangers?
- I've had many nice years here.

Do you think you will be traded?
- There are 3 days left until I most likely won't play here anymore.

Would you consider a new contract with the Rangers as a free agent?
- I don't think about that now. If they don't want me, they don't want me.
.

Sad

Bounced in the second round.

The opposing RW’s are going to have a field day with that left side on D.

Kravtsov playing 23min a night on our top line seems like some serious unicorn believing type of ****.

And lastly, the hockey gods hate us. (Likely Devils+Islanders fans).

We’ll never get the 1OA. If we do, he’ll end up growing a foot on this forehead or something.
you must be fun at parties

The rebuild is always in flux. I don't anticipate a big splash in free agency this summer regardless, but you never know when a guy will become available and you have a chance to make a play for him. Some luck in the draft lottery for Hughes or Kakko and things could change rapidly. Winnipeg gets bounced early and makes one of their big time young wingers available for a center. Florida lands the Russians and will deal Huberdeau but wants to attach Reimer. A player asks for a trade. You never know what can happen.

Yes he's a very emotional guy. The hardest part will definitely be to leave his friends.

That's why I think it would be a great idea to trade both Zucc and Hayes to the same team, then it will be much easier for them to find chemistry with their new teammates.

If we're trading them... then why the hell would we give a **** about whether or not they are having an easy time finding chemistry on their new team?

My two cents on prospects. I think development is a huge deal. We think of them sometimes as hit and miss. But I think that a miss could actually have been a hit with proper development. I think Quinn is making a big positive difference in this regard. I’d definitely be comfortable trusting another teams “bust” to Quinn. Obviously there isn’t unlimited space on the roster for reclamation projects. But I would definitely be happy to try out a couple more Strome types. (Not that Strome has lit the league on fire. But he’s certainly starting to build a little value and hopefully he keeps improving).

Quinn is good.
I can't believe there are people who question this fact.
Feckin' unbelievable that people could slam him for stupid trivial details on ice-time of particular players while at the same time we see DQ get a lot out of this team which has a sad-sack defensive corps needing to be totally rebuilt and keeping good guys like DeAngelo and Pionk (give this guy another season, he will slot in nicely on the 2nd-3rd pair on a good team). Keep Staal and let that contract run out. Get Shattenkirk and Smith gone asap. Trade Skjei if some team really wants him, otherwise keep him, the back end does not hinge on him, he is an in-between.

Agreed.

McCambridge on the other hand...

What's your source?

Zucc has said this in the past. I cant find the source (or care enough to look) but this is something Zucc has stated in previous interviews the past couple months so its nothing new.

Not really. And moreover, his whole 'attitude' adjustment would seem to indicate he came to terms with everything and wasn't so bitter.

@Webster is hardly reliable in his posting and Zucc related rumors, thus the questions surrounding his posts should not be surprising. I too would like to see the source he is gathering this info from because otherwise it just sounds like another one of his misleading, 'shame on this org' posts.

Wonder if Zucc and Hayes are in the lineup today. There's still been no news that they are in fact out.

Zucc has every right to be disappointed by the Rangers. Asset management the way the Rangers did it, is quite the cold business thing, juxtaposed to Zucc's Norwegian upbringing.

He's lost his best buddies Brass and Hags. Those were big blows to Zucc, I bet. He gave a bit of his brain for this team. And in the end we treat him like every other UFA.

Hey, I know it's business, it's the way it is, but we likely tend to exclude these social and human factors.

Don't think the zucc "interview" is New - one of the quotes are from after the Minnesota game though (3 days left until I'm likely not here).

The last quote is from earlier in the season, when he was bitter and slightly confussed (If they don't want me - they don't want me here..)

Word from my Carolina contacts...Hurricanes working on multiple fronts to add scoring. Looking to add more than one forward. Moving carefully.

Speculation on my part...They could be the team negotiating for both Hayes and Zuccarello.

The question then goes to if that could be the case, is that enough value to pry away Necas? (I'd say no) if not, Fox a #1, ++?

You haven’t lived till you Party with me.

Are you allergic to shellfish...? What are your thoughts about Napa Valley Chicken Salad?

And what’s your favorite non-alcohol beverage?

It wouldn’t shock me to see Gorton sign a big FA this summer, but I honestly don’t expect much.

So when’s the party, Kupo? You had me at Napa Valley.

He really doesn't though. If you believe that you must have been a Rangers fan for about ten minutes.

There are players that were ten times more important to this franchise that have been traded away when they didn't want to be. Players who are in the Hall of Fame. Players who's jerseys are hanging in the ******* rafters right now.

The Rangers do a lot of things poorly and have done a lot of things poorly throughout their history but one thing every single player that has played for them in the past few decades will tell you is that they treat their players right. First class organization. I'm sick of the moaning and groaning over Zuccarello. This is a team that traded away Brian ****** Leetch. The greatest defenseman to ever put on the jersey. One of the GOATs to ever play the blueline. But Mats Zuccarello has the right to feel disappointed because he's going to have to go play somewhere else for another few months before he hits UFA? No way.

Alex Wennberg in Columbus was a healthy scratch last night. He’s had a rough season+ after a very promising first couple of years. He put up nearly 60 points in 16’-17’.

Would any one be in favor of a Skeji for Wennberg swap? Similar contract and age. Both showed great potential but struggled as of late. Skeji has been better but is he worth his contract? Wennberg is 250k cheaper with one less year but will he rebound? Pondering because it seems like a “fair” swap.
