Trade Georgiev for Kessel. Call up Kinkaid.

20-93-81
10-16-24
13-72-15
17-21-75/29

Don't know if that team is a serious contender, but if we are being honest with ourselves we aren't in a position just yet to make a big trade. Kessel is a cheap add.
I am so desperate to get rid of Georgiev that I would entertain Kessel. But Kessel is slow. This team needs to pick up the pace.

Just get rid of Tinordi and Georgiev asap. Keep winning games. Then look at a list of Centers and Wings. See who might actually be available at the deadline.

Pavelski
Kane
Toews
Crosby
Malkin
Tarasenko
Reilly Smith
Larkin
Hertl
Gourde

Feel free to add.

Huska’s numbers in the A look good. Happy to give him a shot as the backup.

To be fair, Kinkaid has played 10 games to Huska 5. I would like to see Kinkaid brought up to the big club. Wall brought up to the A with he and Huska splitting the games 60-40 in favor of Huska. Then let them battle it out next training camp.

I think one of them will end up being a quality backup NHL goalie/journeyman starter.

Honestly half of those aren't realistic and other half I don't want. Like you said we need to play with pace and as nice as it would be to have kessel's experience and shot we really shouldn't get him.
Smith is probably the most realistic if Vegas wants to trade him. Would love Gourde (never gonna happen same with Larkin).
What about Toffoli?
Personally I would like to stay put and let this roster keep coming together than trade 1st or 2nd rounders or high end prospects.

My goodness how do they not waive Tinordi after tonight ?

does Georgiev have any value left ?
They are going to Just let him walk for nothing next year if so

Bye Bye. Maybe the AHL or KHL would be more up your alley AG?

Can I subtract? So many of those unavailable or bad fits

Hopefully any of that talk get's put to bed. People just wanna break up a good thing. a first pairing d under that age of 24 that love playing together. Come on guys.
Heart and soul player who performs his duties exceptionally on a value contract...Do we really need that?

As much as I'd love Pavelski, we need more speed IMO. I don't think half those players on your list are available though

Gourde is the exact player we need.

It's a big picture talking point. Some good player will have to get moved.

If players like Kakko, Chytil and/or Laf take off, we'd have no choice.

Seattle has ZERO reason to move Gourde. The Rangers should have gotten Gourde instead of Goodrow when they had the chance. That ship has sailed.

Francis is a bad GM. Never say never.

It doesn't have to be Gourde but someone with that style of play.

Francis is so self protective he doesn't dare do trades. Look at his work so far, it's all about making moves that are so safe and secure they don't stand out in any way whatsoever. He won't get anywhere with this approach, but neither will anyone else. Can't see him dare to pull the trigger on a trade on the level Gourde would be.

A top prospect could soften him up.

Kinkaid is a great guy in the room too. For a backup that’s not going to play slot you love a guy that like. A guy you want to win for when he does get in there. He keeps it light

the team hates Georgiev let’s be honest

For me I’m not in as big a rush to add a winger but at some point I believe Reilly Smith will probably be here.

the other holes? Obviously the back up goalie needs to change as we all know

but I think we need another playmaker on the back end. Lundkvist ain’t it. I want to see Jones up here before making a deal but if a skillled dman becomes avail as a rental I can see us going in that direction at the deadline

Still want to see Chytil at 1RW with Kreider and Zbad. And I think Goodrow centering the third Line is the way that go.

Kreider-Zbad-Chytil
Panarin-Strome-Kakko
Laf-Goodrow-Hunt
Barron-Rooney-Reaves

We need to get Jones up here. Tinordi sucks moose balls and Nils just needs some time in beautiful Hartford.

Barron and Jones are ready imo.

Lindgren-Fox
Miller-Trouba
Jones-Nemeth

Let Jones and Fox play all two minutes on the PP. Lindgren-Nemeth and Miller-Trouba on the PK.

you know, someone brought up trading Lindgren this past offseason.... I think he may be on to something.

Lindgren + Lundkvist/Kravtsov for Turcotte

KAM Fox
Jones Trouba
Robertson/Nemeth/Schneider
Not trading Lindgren. He gives Fox that extra comfort level. It’s like they have a telepathic link on the ice. Lindgren hasn’t even played his best hockey this year yet. At 3 mill per, he’s still a bargain.
Schneider likely breaks in on 3rd pair next season. Hopefully with Jones.
Robertson starts the year of in Hartford next season and is likely a mid season injury call up.
To me, Nils was always the guy on borrowed time here. Trouba is not waiving his nMC early, and if he keeps playing the way he has this season, they aren’t going to push him to do so. I’d wager he’s gone in the offseason.
The decision on LD, who to trade between Robertson/Miller/Lindgren/Jones is at least a full year and a half away at the earliest.

If your Vegas,, why trade Smith this season if your in the playoff hunt? They have no reason to worry about cap space until next season..
Gourde would be a solid pick up, but he’s not cheap or that young anymore.
I think your on to something with Seattle though. They suck and will look to be adding young talent. I’m guessing guys that would be easier to acquire are Donskoi /Jarnkrok
Gourde is the de facto 1C until Beniers is ready. Not saying they wouldn’t ever consider trading him, but it would be a steep cost. They likely what chytil, +,+
I don’t think drury or fans on here for that matter are willing to pay the price that gets Gourde out of Seattle...
Maybe Boston trades Studnicka looking for more Ammo to go after Hertl?
