They are the shoe to drop, but I don't think they hold up the entire league, just the teams that are big game hunting.
And even then, those teams will not wait around forever.

If they end up losing negotiating rights/trade value over a single GP, then yeah thats a f*** up.I don't think it's a **** up. If he's a player who filled a valuable role, then they'd pony up. I like to Boo, but what does he do really? I'm in the camp that he needed to drastically change who he was and how he played to carve out a 4th line role, and he hasn't.
It's not great, but it shouldn't be tough to retain him if that is the plan.If they end up losing negotiating/trading rights over a single GP, then yeah thats a **** up.
Let's put it this way: In Zlin, at the pro level, he was a winger. Kravtsov was a center at the u20 Four Nations and WJC. Doesn't make him a center
agreed, but I don't know that we'd get a 7th for a pending UFA Boo. A pending RFA Boo? Maybe a 6th.It's not great, but it shouldn't be tough to retain him if that is the plan.
Sometimes you kind of build an identity at the age of 13-17. So much happen during that age.
Kevin Hayes basically never played center during what, 4 years in the NCAA? Still when you saw him play his last year in college he was a natural center playing wing, it looked like it.
But do you have info that Chytil played wing before being promoted to the top Czech league?
The scout list from the Rangers game today.
It was the perfect game. The Rangers lost and their top players padded their point totals.
Winnipeg was there for Hayes and possibly Zuccarello.
Columbus, Carolina and Philly aren't making a trade with Pittsburgh.
Columbus has been mentioned with Hayes.
Carolina is looking for more goal scoring.
Philly?
Is Edmonton trading for a rental? Puljijarvi wants out.
Arizona? They are in the mix for the wildcard.
Its' been a while... So...
Buch for Pool Party.
and what's Buch's value? Is Edmonton adding their 1st round pick? Because Puljujarvi's value is closer to a 3rd
FWIW, Pens play the Flyers on Saturday (3 games from now for them). Could just be scouting for upcoming game.Philly?
and what's Buch's value?
A lot more than JP's, that's for sure.and what's Buch's value?
It wasn't every game. At the time the story broke, (Jan 23) it was every remaining game, plus one:Wasn’t there thing with Nieves that he would have had to play every game? No injuries, no Quinn Bin for the injury-prone 11th or 12th forward?
2. The Rangers called up Boo Nieves one game too late. With 80 games the cutoff for unrestricted Group 6 free agency, Nieves has played a career total of 45, with 34 games remaining.
Thus, the Blueshirts need to either extend the center’s contract, move him by the deadline, or take the chance on allowing the Michigan product to go scot-free.
So mitigate the difference with picks if needed. With his cost-controlled years left? A high 2nd
So according to many league sources is that if Ottawa doesn’t make a move the whole league is at a stalemate with trades going down. Is this correct?
So mitigate the difference with picks if needed.
I'd take the risk for a straight swap but I also dont like Buch's game at all (and it hasn't changed much in 3 years )
I like Buch a lot, he is young and got upside — why deal him? We have put in the work. We have done with Buch what EDM have — not — done with Puljujärvi. How you produce a kid is easily 50/50 worth to what ‘talent’ a kid got at the draft.
We have other assets, don’t see the point in dealing Buch for him. We are just to start reaping the benefits from the work we put in with Buch.
