I think with a full NTC for years 1-2, he'd be willing to take a fairly limited NTC for years 3-5. By year three NTC he should still have enough value to make a move.It’s not the cap hit for me, it’s the term. I’m sure a team will offer that but that will be because they’re competing now. Those teams will deal with the latter years because it enhances their chances of a cup for the next few years. Say, Calgary or Boston.
