Thank you Mollie Walker for asking about Igor being run.
And to Ryan Strome I hope you bring that back to the locker room and share with all the rest of the team who allowed Shesterkin to be manhandled by Hornqvist and the Florida Panthers with no consequences unless they consider yapping as a response.
Can’t recall the game earlier this year but one of the Rangers was targeted by the opposing team just because they felt he dove on a penalty that got called on one of their players.
This team has no heart. Hope they grow one or better yet a pair.

Obviously that depends on the price. What range are we talking about here? >5 mil per? Trying to think of what players to compare him with. But no, I don't think he's a total "no trade". Especially with Jones and Robertson still in the system.

Miller however, I am becoming a bit impatient with. I don't think he's been very good. Was awful in preseason. And would say he at times showed flashes last season, but was overall mediocre. So I really don't feel comfortable depending on or planning for Miller to eventually take over that top LD spot which Lindgren now holds. Plus, while Miller might have size and athleticism, he doesn't really use either to its fullest. And while size is a good attribute, if he's not using it to the full extent, it doesn't matter so much that he has it. I think he often plays way softer than he should at least. We don't need him to be an offensive dynamo. But we could definitely utilize him and develop him more in a shut down mold, where I think he has the traits to thrive, if he'd use them properly.

That is something I think Trouba has done to some extent. We don't really need him to provide too much offense. While he's more used to playing offensive roles, I think he's better as the shut down partner. And I think we are seeing a bit of that this season where he's had some very good games. It's an adjustment for him, but I think that would be his best role. Just at RD.

And obviously, whether to trade Lindgren or not largely depends on the return. If you tell me we can get some high end center prospect in return, then yea, I am trading him in a split second. But I would honesty prefer seeing what the market for Miller looks like first. With his "pedigree" and perceived ceiling, the return on Miller might be better and considering his play, more worth moving.

If Miller was more Marc Staal and less Tom Poti I'd be a lot more optimistic about his future tenure in Blue myself.

People forget just how good Staal was before the eye injury.

KAM is 21 about to turn 22....

He's raw. We knew this when he was drafted. WTF are people expecting out of him? His flashes are all-world brilliance. He makes mistakes, as a raw 21 year old defensemen would.... I don't get the screeching after a rough shift/game or two.

I'm seeing a future where Schneider (for his crease clearing ability) and Jones (for his offensive ability) will both be needed on the Rangers defense. As soon as they are ripe, they should be in the lineup.

This leaves Lundkvist as the odd man out. Right now, in my mind, he is the bait to return a young center.

No slam on the player as I think he has been settling in, but on a need basis, the others just fit better.

Big time bait for a big time deal.
I'm not sure he's that big of bait though. He's an undersized offensive d man that needs to prove he's a pp point producer to have value in this league but he isn't going to get that chance with Fox here so you're hoping some team will pay you based on potential and not actual results in the NHL from a player that is currently playing in the NHL. Seems like a tough sell

good lord lol

I get the angle but this was still painful to read
This is a perfect example of the cupcake atmosphere that's taking things over around here. It's sickening. I don't give a damn if a guy meant that or not, if they hit one of your two best players then you need to respond...

And I'm sick of management and the coaches making excuses for everybody. Like how are you supposed to have any level of accountability for the players to each other when the coach is going to make excuses and defend the guys all the time. This was a perfect incident to call guys out and say this is unacceptable you owe it to the group to stand up for each other. Instead we hear oh he probably didn't mean to do it and I don't really feel like fighting anybody...

Why in the holy hell would he play with the stomach flu
Probably because the guy is more of a team leader and has more competitive fire than almost anybody else on this roster. The guy literally just does everything he can to try to help the team win at all times, and he knows that he can do more to help the team with shit leaking out of his ass than the other guy who just gives butt taps after each period

Strome's comments actually make me feel even worse about the situation.

Strome is everything I hate about modern NHLers from a mentality standpoint. He clearly grew up as one of the most talented players around, he clearly only focused on skills and not being a well rounded player, he was a high draft pick into the NHL, just out there to rack up points and clearly cares about his personal stats, always wants to make flashy skill plays and he's friendly with everyone on other teams.

I want players who aren't joking around with opponents during the game, don't care about their stats, will adjust their playing style when necessary, do whatever it takes to win guys. I don't want the guy who sees his goalie get bowled over multiple times in a game and then after reflecting on the teams' non response he says "yeah, that was good enough".

Strome is so clearly the kid who grew up knowing he was more skilled than everyone else, picked up bad habits because he just rested on those skills and other parts of his game are undeveloped and he's never built them up at the NHL level. To watch Strome backcheck you'd think he was completely dead tired every single time, then you realize he's just lazy.
jesus man, f***ing case studies up in here

Yeah, and honestly, what we think “here” often don’t matter, but what the fans think of our defenders do because it becomes a very loud message.

Look at the — 100% nonsense — Neal Pionk had to endure with. He was a UDFA who came here and played above expectations and was thrown into a way too big role. He put his body on the line and gave it everything he had. Can’t ask for more. Why the heck was he singled out?

I am starting to get the same wibes with K’Andre. A forward will miss a break away, we don’t hate them for that. But the equivalence for Ds, they are required to bury all of them. The yard stick these guys are measured with is flawed. Pionk was coached by 4 NHL coaches and everyone of them played him more than any other D on their roster.

Confidence is extremely important for these guys. They start to become ready to assume a big role when they are 25-26 y/o and reach their peak when they are 30 often. But in NY, ok this guy is 20 but he was in the picture when a goal was scored, I am telling you, I just about had it for good.

It's a good question. A lot depends on what other teams think of the player and what they might offer in return. He's still a blue chip prospect with great value. I wouldn't be shopping him other than that the future composition of the Rangers defense feels better to me with different players.

I actually would have enjoyed seeing Igor shit himself on the ice. A brown Malarchuk incident would make for must see TV.

The Czar might as well publicly shit himself since the President did. Could be the new "it" thing to do.

I really never thought I’d see these 3 hanging out together. So random considering I’ve never seen anyone of them actually interact with one another
