My hot take on the defensive situation is that I think Nemeth could do just fine playing with Adam Fox. He isn’t as good as Lindgren but plays a very similar game.

I bet he'd do fine with Fox, most people would. Problem is the 3rd pairing would still have trouble coming out of their own end even if you swapped Nemeth and Lindgren.

People keep repeating this but I think it’s misunderstood. When people say Nemeth plays both sides of the ice, I don’t think they mean left and right. I think they mean he plays FOR both sides. As in he doesn’t care whose goal he’s assisting on.

Yeah...I'd take Tank. Better offense, good on the boards, better goal scorer, and shorter contract. Also, we really dont need to get younger. We are still like the 4th youngest team. We need some veteran players. Specifically, ones that have won, like Tarasenko oddly enough. Haha

Kessel will be cheaper to acquire as well, but Tarasenko is a better player now and a style that fits well with the direction the Rangers want to go. Though I do support a trade to get Kessel. No 1st though. He isn't that good anymore. Get some of these extras moved out. Georgiev, Goat, Hajek, Reunanen. Some combo of that. Coyotes would be interested. All young. All cheap, and after this years trade deadline they will need bodies since they are primed to deal A LOT of players away.

Disagree; he's scored a few PP goals which is nice, but he doesn't win board battles and hasn't cycled well. Where is that aspect of his game?

If memory serves, Rakell played with Zibanejad at the World Championships in 2018 and they seemed to have good chemistry together

Rakell would be a solid fit as a RW here. Issue is cost in trade and what he'd be looking at on his next deal.

Vegas can't afford to trade Krebs in any deal, much less for a guy who makes 10 million. They'd need him to replace all the players they'd have to send out just to fit in his cap.

I expected Nemeth to be steadier based on his career prior to coming here. Could be new system growing pains. Could also be because he’s paired with a rookie that may not be ready for show time.
