Hey can’t hurt to ask. Maybe a team gets reactionary to a division rival making a move and responds by upping an offer for Zucc.
If I knew we could re-sign him, maybe I’m more open? We’ll be in a tricky spot cap wise. Not necessarily in trouble, just going to have to be careful planning.
For the record, I’m pulling for you guys in the Hughes sweepstakes. Certainly would be a nice boost to that system.

Steen(or Bozak I guess) + Kostin for Zucc + 2nd would be interesting to see. I frankly didn’t really consider that as a possibility.

The only way rangers can move shattenkirk is if we take a bad contract back like lucic or seabrook. Not happening.

Might actually be something here then. We prob wouldn’t take a cap dump longer than 2 years.
I’d love to see Zucc go somewhere, be happy and successful. Great guy in the lockeroom and obviously has a heart the size of North America.

I'm not so sure, given retention and the Rangers ability to take back some cap hit(s) within reason (not Lucic, Seabrook) I think he could be in play to a team that needs a RD who can PP. If they are not sure on how Schultz is going to come back, Pitt other than Letang don't have much in the PP D department although they may decide they are fine running Letang and forwards on their first unit and giving them almost all the PP time.

Gorton should be able to get a 1st for Zucc no matter what, be it that he might have to add a pick himself . Say Zucc and a 3rd-4th round pick for a 1st.
Hopefully, at least unless the market is completely flooded with scoring wingers...
OTOH he just seems to be pretty dumb. He completely mailed it in late last season. WTF was that? A team invested really heavily in him and he didn't get it. Wonder if he is a good 'role model' to keep around. From the little I know, I would definitely love to see him moved ASAP.

Not sayin that exact deal but something to look at. I’d rather a Top 3 prospect than a late 1st and we aren’t competing next year and doubtful the year after.
I'd want a better prospect, especially if we're taking on salary AND adding a pick.
