Ryan Whitney who is a good buddy of Kevin Hayes.

Maybe the Rangers can leave Hayes in Winnipeg tonight.

Joe Sakic isn't trading any valuable asset. He is concerned about his cap situation. The Avs aren't a cap team. They have to pay Rantanen. They have plenty of room to spend a few more bucks.

No. Kreider and Huberdeau are too close in value or performance to make it worth while for us. Even from FL perspective it should be someone even cheaper. To me it would have to be someone like Buchnevich and 2nd instead of Kreider.
Almost everyone on these boards and rangers management would make his deal and not think twice. It's quite lopsided in our favor.

Huge pass

I'd prefer to eat glass than move Lias for the Pool guy

Rather drink anti-freeze than move Buch for Pool guy

While I don't want to partake in your anti-freeze adventure I absolutely agree that both would be terrible moves. Why do people want to give something of value for Puljujarvi?.

Hes fast approaching reclamation project that warrants a future 3rd round pick.

People talk about Tyson Jost being unimpressive yet in 24 less games he has more points than the Pool guy.

No interest in this guy at all

A constantly broken Buchnevich for an enigmatic Puljujarvi.

In the same way that Georgiev has all the right energy and attitude as an overachiever, Buchnevich is on the opposite end of the spectrum...we don't need to generate a phD level psych dissertation to determine Buchnevich will never put it together. His body language sucks. His disposition is sour - at best. 'Constantly broken' is a fair assessment. He's an attitude you lose with. I do not care if he has some skill. The net sum of the parts is below zero. He's a negative.

Puljujarvi definitely has his flaws, but the kid is still only 20 years old and is stuck in a terrible situation in Edmonton. Writing him off this early is totally premature, and I'd be more than happy to take a risk on adding a kid with that much talent. I've ragged on him for his decision making, but I'd still be more than happy to give this kid a shot in an environment that's focused on development.

Hes as much of the reason for that terrible situation as any other.

If you want to put him in a situation that is focused on development, leave him in the AHL.

Even there hes been less than impressive

Nothing about him is intriguing to me

The Avs have not functioned as a cap team with the Kroenkes as owners, which has encompassed a period of nearly twenty years. They pull back their cap commitment during rebuilding periods and have focused on retaining cap flexibility, but they have also been one of the major spenders at times during their tenure as owners. Between Stan Kroenke and Ann Kroenke, they have a combined net worth estimated to be in the $15 billion range, which makes them one of the wealthier private ownership groups in the NHL.

With all due respect almost everyone on this boards is not indicative of anything and you have absolutely no idea of what deals the Rangers management would do or not.

Again the trade @GAGLine proposed was just too "fair" for me. The Rangers would only marginally improve by replacing one core piece with another and on top of that we don't know how Huberdeau would fit. Then throwing in Georgiev and taking on Riemer to even up the perceived value even more? I think the Rangers would be giving up too much upside. As a 3OA Huberbeau jumped on the scene and got recognition pretty early. Kreider? It has taken him a while and I think of his career arc to be how people think of Wheelers and that going forward he'd be a perennial 55-60 point LW with dominant advance stats and great intangibles.

I'm not going to bitch and moan if this trade happens but I'm not a fan of trading Kreider in what I look at as a pretty even trade.

I defend Lias a lot, but remember that Puljujärvi is only three months older than Lias and he had a better rookie AHL season than Chytil.

Jesse also wasn't a guy who had a great year out of nowhere and shot up the draft boards, he had been scoring at an elite level throughout his junior career. In fact prior to their draft years, Pulju had been a better producer than Laine at every level. I think there is a good chance he can still be a legit player in this league, a star even, and this is the perfect time to acquire him. Bigger guys, and especially the playmakers, usually take a bit longer to figure it out at the NHL level - look at Jumbo Joe. Hayes has taken a huge step at 26 and is having by far the best year of his career.

It may be that Buchnevich just needs a change of teams. The idea of getting Puljujarvi though doesn't interest me at all. This was the year I was hoping Buch would finally put it together. He's played like a lightweight though and he plays like a passenger. What's frustrating is that with his skill level he could be so much more.

Yeah, Buch's development since he got here, is underwhelming to say the least. I'd rather keep him as a transitional piece though.
Resign and explore a trade nest season; value should pretty much stay around a 2nd rd. pick.

Zero interest in Pulju, whatsoever. He's got a dumb look on his face.

I GOT IT -- offer sheet Puljujärvi. 4,050,000 $ per. The cost would be a 2nd round pick. :)

That's like the worst shit ever. xD
