This just signals to me Drury has an ego the size of NY to think he could work things out here. When you have multiple incidents with a player, why even continue to play with fire?

Just move him and be done with it

Again he was in the room making decisions when Lias and DeAngelo happened, how many times does the team need to get bitten in the ass before you stop and think “hmm maybe this can’t be fixed”?
Probably because VK has 0 value and Drury isn't going to come out and say "the offers are shit, we're just going to leave him dangling as long as necessary to get close to fair value."

*Move him prior to this incident happening that left Kravstov with little to no value*

Honestly, I’m guessing he was most likely trying to.
I would bet he was in any Eichel deal drury and Adams has discussions about. And according to edge it was krav/Lundkvist wings wanted plus 1st for Larkin.
I’m guessing he had talks, but kravtsov wasn’t really as highly viewed even before this latest episode, except for a few posters on here.
Since he first left, he did nothing to improve his stock much.
Ran back to KHL, he was demoted, and finally they brought him back to play in the A where he could at least build his game. He didn’t really light it on fire down there.
Couple that with a shitty me first attitude, and suspect offseason training regime... and here we are.
With the amount of coaches and player movement, people talk. I’m sure some GMs heard things thru the grapevine and weren’t lining up to deal high end assets for krav

Sound like a broken record...

We need SPEED down the middle.
We need STRONG 2WAY Centers down the middle. (ie. Relentless pressure on the puck/strong forecheck/strong defensively/can win a faceoff etc)

That's the needed end-goal. How do we get there? Zibs is here. We need to fill in the slots behind him.
Maybe we're going to regret not going harder for Danault

I'm willing to bet that Drury had Kravtsov as a key piece going the other way in deals that never materialized (Eichel, Larkin).

Also probably was hoping that Kravtsov would get the message and improve his attitude and work ethic and force his way onto the team.

Feels like 0-4, honestly. Zibanejad and Panarin are getting back on track... the latter has had the success go to his head as seen opening night. But all in all, they kinda suck so far.

They suck so far and they’re still 2-1-1, amazing!

Good teams will find ways to when, even when it’s not pretty. They’ve shown flashes, give it until the quarter mark of the season and then re-assess.

I'm not surprised at the general slow start for this team, that doesn't make it any less frustrating. Nobody could forget the 2013-14 team that got shellacked in SJ early in that season and we know how that turned out. I'm still not convinced of anything and think there are holes that need to be filled.

I see Bread aging like wine. His game doesn’t rely on any one physical attribute, it’s all about his creativity. I don’t see him declining, he’s also been very durable his whole career. And he has far less NHL mileage on his body than any other player of his calibre :)

The beginning of the season is always wild and wacky.

Pretty sure we were something like 7-1-1 to start the season that ended with 'the letter'

Well, Shesterkin makes them suck a lot less. So we got that going for us.

If he stays hot, the rest of the team may catch up to him.

Big Board right now..
1. Larkin
2. Turcotte
3. Hayton

There's not many of these types of players. Dvorak was one and he cost a 1st and a 2nd, he also had great term imo

Larkin would cost Kravtsov, Jones/Lundkvist+
Turcotte would cost Jones or Lundkvist, maybe with a small add
Might be able to get Hayton with Kravtsov+Hajek or something

I think the Larkin ship has sailed

The latter two are obviously only options if their respective teams are a bubble team or less. But you add one of those 4 and I think you will have a pretty competitive team
