I don't think there's a day countdown this season. It had more to do with crossing into Communist Canada than anything else. If he tests negative and obvs he's vaccinated, they'll let him play in America.

Okay, what does everyone think of adding Komarov if the Islanders retained $1m? That would put him at a $2m cap hit for just this season.

I would rather just claim him. Isles aren’t trading him here. Would be a great addition

Was hoping to see Barron center the third line, but I don't have any issue with Rooney moving up for a couple of games. Will be frustrating if McKegg plays over Barron, though.

Oettinger will probably be the Dallas starter by New Year's, they aren't trading him.

Bishop is made of glass and khodobin will probably be moved once a team has a major injury in net...

I wouldn't touch Hayton with a 10 foot pole. Talk about poor drafting...

And frankly, Kostin, Rasmussen or Bokk too would not be enough in my estimation. I don't think any of the 3, any of the 4, if we include Hayton, actually have Kravtsov's higher ceiling. At least a higher ceiling IMO and I think many others. Well, Hayton I guess may have that ceiling but I think the chances of him reaching it at this point are so so low.

Anyway, this doesn't diminish Kravtsov's actual talent or ceiling. He's a 21 year old who's been a hockey star for a while now. Sometimes, ego gets in the way, but that still doesn't completely explain this situation. Personally, I think the onus is still on the organization.

But for Kravtsov, I would at least want someone like Kupari, Pinelli, Foudy,Veleno or maybe Madden. Maybe not Turcotte or Vilardi, all though I honestly don't think they'll be THAT much better.

I was actually pretty upset when Logan Brown went to the Blues for a song and a dance. He would have been a perfect reclamation project for the NYR, just not necessarily at the expense of Kravtsov.

I actually like Pelletier a lot too as far as prospects go. N0t sure if Flames would move him though.

Don’t think your gonna get anyone on your wish List for Krav. All those players have increased their value since their draft year. Pinelli might wind up being one of the biggest draft steals. Maybe an outside shot at Veleno or Madden, but neither guy is very good imo. Flames are high on Pelletier/Zary and that’s pretty much it. The most likely won’t deal them for krav. I wouldn’t.
The only way krav brings back a young player/prospect with high end value is if he’s likely packaged with one of our D.
Odds are, we’re looking at another 2nd rd pick. But at least the next 2 drafts are solid.

Finally a couple players who can finish 5 hits a game.. wish I could add 3 more Goodies or Bais under my Xmas tree.. what a difference From last season and our biggest checker was Krieter.

This just signals to me Drury has an ego the size of NY to think he could work things out here. When you have multiple incidents with a player, why even continue to play with fire?

Just move him and be done with it

Again he was in the room making decisions when Lias and DeAngelo happened, how many times does the team need to get bitten in the ass before you stop and think “hmm maybe this can’t be fixed”?

There will likely be some nice looking ones on the board when we draft a tuff RW no one’s talking about.

Sound like a broken record...

We need SPEED down the middle.
We need STRONG 2WAY Centers down the middle. (ie. Relentless pressure on the puck/strong forecheck/strong defensively/can win a faceoff etc)

That's the needed end-goal. How do we get there? Zibs is here. We need to fill in the slots behind him.
