Alex Tuch will be ready to return in January. Vegas needs to clear money when Tuch returns. When does Reilly Smith become a Ranger? The Rangers have room for whatever amount is remaining on Smith's $5M cap hit.
I would be shocked if the Rangers used their cap space to add a winger over a center for a playoff push. I know Gallant likes Smith but I just think it makes more sense to upgrade Strome at 2C. Slide Strome to the wing on that 2nd line or down to the 3rd

They wouldn't...there's no way...

This is just math.

This thread has established that Panarin+Strome=Panarin squared.

Thus, Panarin+(Strome x2)=

The Rangers aren’t going to be doing this child any favors. He’s getting moved only if they get an offer they find acceptable.

Does he need their blessing to go back and play in Russia?

Kravtsov has the option to trigger the European Assignment Clause that was added to his entry level contract and signed by both parties. The Rangers signed this so there is some responsibility here! The clause can be triggered at any time during the season and will result in Kravtsov then returning to the KHL to the team that owns his KHL rights, (Traktor Chelyabinsk?). In the event of the EAC being triggered, Kravtsov will remain with his KHL team until their season is over, after which he would be obliged to return to the NHL. The timeline of that return could coincide with the NHL trade deadline.

This mess with Kravs really sucks. I really thought he was going to breakout this year playing top 6 minutes. If I’m dealing Kravs thats not in a package for Eichel as some have said I’m calling Seattle.

Gourde for Kravs make sense and Goude can step into the third line moving Chytil to the wing.

Seattle gets a younger potentially better player. We get a center that we’re looking for—maybe Seattle adds a 3rd pick.

Better yet Kravs and Hajek for Gourde and 3rd. Bring up Jones to replace Hajek.

Pipe dream would be Larkin for Kravs, Robertson and a 1st for Larkin whom would fit like a glove.

He'd be a decent rental but I really dont think we need him. If anything Barron could push someone to the wing if need be. It also comes down to cost.... if he was strictly a cap dump on their part ie costing Hajek or something, I'm down. If he costs decent futures, no thank you.

The asset management of this rebuild has been a joke.

Lias Andersson was a waste and is no longer here. Kravstov is about to follow the same path. 2 top 10 picks completely wasted. Our most valuable asset in McDonagh was traded for Howden and Hajek. Two more missed assets. Really need to hope lindkvist becomes a top pairing defenseman. DeAngelo is gone from the Stepan trade. Buchnevich was traded fro nothing. We got nothing to show for Zuccarello trade.

The Brassard trade was obviously a home run as well as the Nash trade. The Fox trade was the best one yet. But we are getting to the point where they missed on more than they hit during this rebuild. I don’t even want to think about how bad it will be if Laf, Kakko, Miller, And Chytil don’t take a major step.

And besides Dolan, who can’t be forced out, there is just one person here who has overseen all this.

That person might not be picking the players but he’s been picking the people who are picking the players. And he just helped orchestrate the force out of Gorton and JD.

The only teams I’d be willing to even consider right now are Buffalo/AZ, considering it’s almost a given their 2nd rounders will be in the top 5 of the draft.

Any other offers will be there at the draft next summer. Just wait

Having both Strome brothers would be wild. I think it would increase Ryan’s chances of getting re-signed imo.
