Honestly, if they're gonna go the "quiet, lead by example" route for a C, i'd rather give it to Fox but thats just me.

Fox will get most of that imo. Kakko even with a big breakout should be lighter due to his first two seasons not being as productive. Kravstov I think isn’t going to really breakout fully till next year, so he shouldn’t be too expensive

Yup. Kakko and Kravtsov are good bridge candidates. Kakko gets about 3 to 3.5 and Kravtsov the same as Chytil. That leaves about 12.5 to 13 million to sign Fox. Lafreniere I get the feeling is going to get the big boy 7 to 8 year deal after his ELC.

Fox will come in at about 8 x 9 million. That leaves about 4 million to add something.

The Strome traded scenario makes the most sense for all parties really. Especially if Chytil can force the situation. Even if Barron proves he needs a bit more time, which I’m doubtful of, Goodrow can pretty easily slot over to center for the remainder of the season.

While Eichel is highly unlikely at this point, I will say that he also cannot be completely ruled out. I think there is a decent likelihood the Rangers keep lurking and see how the market goes (which is smart and what they should be doing).

If, and once again this is highly unlikely, the Sabres don’t love what’s out there and like the Rangers system they could come back and offer to retain salary to get a deal done. I don’t see that happening, but it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility either.

I do not want Eichel under any circumstance.

I still expect Reaves to be put on IR retroactively. It would give them flexibility until opening night, which might be all they need to find a trade partner for Hájek.

I'm not sure why anyone thinks Miller or Nils are being sent down when it's very clear they both made the team - Gallant already said their top-4 was Lindgren-Fox and Miller-Trouba, and Nils won the spot out over Zac Jones in camp. Tinordi will probably be the 7D and play in the first game of the season simply to fight Wilson, but I'm expecting the 3rd pair moving forward to be Nemeth-Nils.

Right now I don’t think it’s Lundkvist, though he might not play opening night.

Miller isn’t going anywhere.

Barron is possibility, though that will be based on getting him a ton of time at center down in Hartford.
