We could have 4 first round picks in a draft with a great top15.

Could play out well with Gorts, who was aggressive in getting his man last draft.
If the draft is so much better the following year as some have speculated on....that would be a nice draft to have multiple first rounders in . I would even contemplate struggling through one more tank type season for that . If the players are projected as being better...who knows....couple of them might be able to step in after that 2020 draft for us . We could even have a shot at first overall .

Lettieri will do enough tonight to get most of the heat. Kid is awful

I think the kid can bounce back a bit. Think the problem has been a bit that he isn’t good enough to be a scorer and he isn’t very good at checking either, to simplify things. I think he did OK last year because he just did everything to stick, but then it seemed like he aimed higher his last tour and it resulted in nothing instead. Hopefully he learned something.

If Carolina truly has an eye on the playoffs with the return of Hamilton and "pulling back" on trading Ferland, would you be alright with a return of Carolina & Buffalo's 2nd round picks this draft for Zucc, instead of a 1st+

I’d think about that w another prospect added

Basically the Staal deal back

Unfortunately, Unless we are lucky (team we trade with dropping in the standings and losing in first round) only one of those are gonna be in the top 15 (our own pick) but like you said if Gorton is aggressive he could try to trade up into the 10-15 range?! But as we know it's not cheap to trade up say from 25 to 15ish. I truly hope there are some good players in the the 20-31 range cause most likely that is where we will be picking twice (guessing twice).

I’m curious to see Staple leak this as an Islanders’ fan. He usually doesn’t just throw things on the wall and see what sticks.

Who are the main forwards available...Hayes and Zuccarello?
Yes, those are the main two. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Namestnikov will garner interest.

Want Strome back? ;)

The Bobfather conforming what a few of us have already said...for the Rangers to move Kreider, it’s going to take a foundational young player that’s just about ready to step in. The Rangers are not shopping him, but will listen.

No single 1st rounder acquired from a contender is going to look amazing alone. But with numerous chances, we could potentially get something nice in hindsight.

Where did he say this? Twitter or TV?

TV. He said the Rangers are looking for a 1st and a good prospect for Hayes, and a 1st or a good prospect for Zuccarello, especially now since he’s playing better:

Adding to this he said that McQuaid was a likely to get dealt for, obviously, a lesser return.

Bob also said its "Highly likely" all of McQuaid, Hayes and Zucc are moved.

His values below...

McQuaid is a Holden-like return. 4th and a 7th
Hayes a 1st and "something"...didn't speculate.
Zucc a 1st or top prospect (not both)

Said Hayes has a lot of interest around the league and added big bodied Center etc. Pretty much the same values most of us here discuss everyday.

As @jas mentioned above. He was asked about Kreider and said if he was to be traded it would be for a "building block foundation" type of a player and not draft picks and prospects.
