The deadline used to be two weeks later than it is now. It was moved up about four years ago.Not his fault the deadline is stupidly late in the season.

I guess if Kreider were to go it would be last minute a la McD. I’m hoping they get their price for Hayes before deadline day.I think it will work in the opposite direction.
If you look at the way it worked last year, the deals went from less significant to most (Holden-Grabner-Nash-McDonagh/Miller)
The ‘94 deadline was on March 21st. They’ve moved it up quite a bit.The deadline used to be two weeks later than it is now. It was moved up about four years ago.
Bobby Mac just said yesterday that it's more likely than not that Duchene and Stone get traded. The Stone part surprised me, especially since it seemed like he was heading towards an extension and would most likely become their next captain.I don’t think duchene or stone are leaving. I think Ottawa gets both done honestly.
I tried to do some quick research and it looks like the deadline was moved up two weeks in 2017. I know it was even later many years prior. The ‘94 deadline was on March 21st. They’ve moved it up quite a bit.
Nash freakin retired for health lol
Would like for the Rangers to put in a claim on JT Brown
Thanks Gortand we had no interest in even talking to him regardless
Im worried we’re going to settle for Hayes and end up getting Petan + 1st + B prospect
Since we acquired him for free... I vote get what you can for him. That doesn't mean to rush however.Always a chance the Rangers don't get great value, but what is "settle?"
The other alternative is to sign him long-term, which the Rangers dont seem keen on doing at this time, or letting him leave in July for zilch.
If you win a $23 million jackpot off a $5 scratch card, can I have it for the $5 you paid?Since we acquired him for free... I vote get what you can for him. That doesn't mean to rush however.
What? How is that remotely close to what I said???If you win a $23 million jackpot off a $5 scratch card, can I have it for the $5 you paid?

If we trade some of these guys like Zuc and Hayes it would be nice to get some young proven talent back. Draft picks are a crap shoot. Sorry but it is a fact. We have got to do better drafting talent. I have recently seen 2 Wolfpack games and came away totally unimpressed with Anderson. To me he looks at best like a Jesper Fast type player with a ways to go. Minus 15 so far looks awful at times. Still young but for a first round pick we need to do better than a 3rd or 4th liner. Honestly the entire Wolfpack team is short on talent with the exception of a couple of players. IMO the best is Lindgren.
Hoping Gorton can move Vesey/Namestnikov/Strome before the deadline as well. They aren't useless but if you can get a 2nd or 3rds it would be nice. Strome would probably be the toughest to move of the three
And it's still badThe deadline used to be two weeks later than it is now. It was moved up about four years ago.

It's a bad analogy. If I get a $23 million jackpot from a $5 scratch card, I’m not selling it for anything less than $23 million.
It doesn’t matter what we paid for Hayes, he’s Hayes. We hold out until we get good value.
Which is why they should move him. He's been pretty bad and that's 3.1M in cap room we could use in FA. But we are probably stuck with him.I may be in the minority but I'd really like to see the Rangers keep Strome. He has another year left at $3.1 then is an RFA.
