Coyle has been struggling and is really a RW at this level. Wouldn't say it takes Hayes to Boston off the table as Coyle could slot in behind Pastrnak and Hayes could line up as the #3C. Depth and size is kind of Boston's thing.

Donato was one of the few guys I would have wanted from Boston, so I'd move elsewhere if I'm trading Hayes. Their prospect pool is underwhelming

Based on the reaction on Twitter Donato seems to be a bit overrated.

His Olympics was great but people were saying he coulda been a legit Calder contender, which seems a bit absurd

Coyle has been a pretty good producer at 5v5 the past 3 seasons, better than I thought he was. Wouldn't be surprised to see him put with Marchand-Bergeron and produce pretty damn well.

I can see Boston loading up and adding Hayes as well. Coyle has been a RW in the NHL. They need to load up to compete with what Tampa has.

This would seem to set the bar for someone like Vesey or Namestnikov, no? He had 28 points this year in 60 games. Big body. More of a winger that can play center. One more year on his deal

Without my bias, Hayes is a much better player in every area of the game. Only thing Coyle has on Hayes is an extra year on his contract

I hope Toronto doubles down for Kreider... probably too much, but Kapanen/Sandin/2020 1st for Kreider and one of a 3rd/Fast McQuaid would a very good futures deal...

I would need Sandin in any deal. I don't like what I've heard about Liligren

Well they split that line up before he got hurt, so if they continue to do that to spread out the scoring I wouldn't be surprised if that's the way they go.
